Owner description: This holy stone is the eastern cornerstone of the Kaaba, the ancient stone building towards which all Muslims pray. Many Muslims believe that the stone (originally white but now black from absorbing the sins of man) fell from heaven during the time of Adam and Eve.

This is my first time seeing the Kaabah in real after all these years seeing it on television. It is much more grandeur in real. While doing tawaf, just becareful with all the pushing from the rest of the people. Overwhelming at first, but after some getting used to it with all the jam packed people you will get the flow of what type of people you really should give way to them before they push you off.

Everyone wants to touch the Black Stone on hajj or umrah, but is it worth the risk of your eye being poked, breaking glasses, getting an elbow? It might be for the victims, but what about the perpetrator. People need to calm down. As much benefit as people think they're getting is probably being taken away because of the pain being inflicted on others. I really wanted to touch it, but as a woman was it possible? No! I saw a few women attempt but get constantly pushed and shoved until they were out of the circle. Honestly it was ridiculous. I think ones intention is just as good. Point and saying a praying is good enough.

Hajar-al-aswad is a holy stone in a corner of Qaba, from which all muslims start their turns around the Qaba. touching it has been said to be very good,so all try to touch it and it makes the great crowd around it,which makes it hard esp. for women to touch it.it was one of the original stones used in the first building of Qaba by Prophet Ibrahim and his son.
