It is a nice hotel. Excellent breakfast. Moderate rooms and good A/C Helpful front desk staff. Fair business center. Far from masjed haram, but there is a bus that took us to the masjed. Few stores in the vicinty

I was visiting the Holy City for one day only and decided to stay at Bakkah ARAC after reading some good reviews on Booking.Com. Upon arrival I found the Reception Staff extremely rude and non professional. Without greeting I was ordered to go and perform Umra and come back at 4. p.m as the rooms were not vacant. When I returned I saw the receptionist shouting at a customer and after exchange of some hot arguments the receptionist left the reception counter to fight with the customer.
Despite my request to give me a Queen size Bed I was given a room with two extremely small single beds which were extremely uncomfortable . The TV in the room was not working and after complaining the technician fixed the same. No Tea/Coffee kettle was available, Mini Fridge was empty even simple water bottle was not provided. The breakfast was simple and average at a cost of 35 Riyals. The only thing good about the Hotel is that it is a neat and relatively new hotel . Shuttle service to Holy Mosque was also fine. My advice : Be careful with the receptionist he might knock you out if you dare try to argue.

I have booked in this hotel twice, and the second time was based on the first time experience which was very good.

During my first visit, I enjoyed the clean, spacious rooms. The fast transportation to the Haram Mosque and back.
During my Second visit ... Well I couldn't access the room. My whole experience is at the receptions with a non-professional ignorant person who claimed to be the night shift manager (Wael Adnan).

I had a confirmed booking through booking.com, and arrived to the hotel at around 12AM. The hotel check-in starts from 4PM as per the policy online. As I was approaching the reception with the booking confirmation, he directly talked to me (without looking at the booking) and said that my booking was canceled! And all of booking.com bookings were canceled due to a hotel policy, that was never mentioned online or any other location, that if the guest didn't show up after 6PM, the booking is canceled. I argued with him that this was never mentioned to me, and my booking was confirmed with my credit card information, but he simply refused to collaborate and kept mentioning the the booking was canceled.

I asked him that I wanted to talk to the manager, but he claimed that he was the manager! If it is true, I think the hotel should re-visit its hiring process. He said arrogantly that there was vacant rooms in the hotel, but he had instructions not to give any to any guest.
I don't think a manager, with a proper sense of management would say that statement.

I called booking.com to complain while I was at the hotel, and they assured me that my booking is confirmed and I should be able to access my room. They asked me to hand over the phone to the receptionist (Wael Adnan), and the guy talked to them with the same argument, that this was the hotels policy, and refused to give any room in the hotel.

Booking.com apologized to me, and transferred me to another hotel in the area at their own cost.

I wasn't the only guest with that issue on that night, several other were fighting that guy for the same reason, and he wasn't professional at all in dealing with all those people, he just caused a bad reputation and loss of customers to the hotel.

Room Tip: Just pick another hotel. and save your self

I stayed in this hotel for umrah purpose. This hotel is nice. Located near to alharam however, it is not a walking distance. The hotel offer bus services 24 hours to alharam ( return ). The room was clean and neat yet very small. I can say that my experience was good and I am satisfied with my stay. However, I personally prefer hotels that are within walking distance form alharam.
