“Umrah during Ramadan - Hajj with the Prophet”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

It is always nice to have somewhere to rest your tired and weary bones after performing Umrah and we found this in this hotel. The rooms were comfortable but a little laxed on room cleanliness; a lovely iftar was available buffet style and we really enjoyed this, but i would suggest breaking fast, praying and then enjoying the food; yes a little walk from the haraam, not like staying at the closer hotels, but it is always nice to return to a cool room, running water and clean sheets. Room service was prompt and very friendly; the hotel can also organise transport back to Jeddah which provided an excellent driver. This time of the year, being peak season, you expect to pay more, but for Umrah during Ramadan - Hajj with the Prophet (AS).....no complaints from me.

I stayed here a few years ago, I have to say I was blown away by the size of this hotel! The lobby was the size of a half a football pitch!! I have never seen such a large and extravagant hotel in my life!! It is only a 3-5 minute walk to the the Grand Mosque, so it is a good location. The breakfast was all inclusive, which was very good, again a massive dining area. One thing you can say is that money was not an issue when this hotel was built!!

I have stayed there last week in April, while i was doing my first Umrah. The hotel was very good. clean and rooms were cozy and comfortable. However i was with my old mother and my 4 years old son and i did not find it great to walk about 200 meters after each prayer to/ from Haram in this hard hot weather. The hotel is not this close to Haram, but you should walk for about 10-15 minutes, over a bridge to reach Haram. It can be ok if you are alone or adult enough to walk. However with kids it was somehow hard.

otherwise the breakfast was very good, with an omlette island. also the wifi internet was free, just ask about the code from the reception.

you should bring all your stuff from supermarkets around haram as there is no near supermarkets. The hotel provide a free bus to Haram every day before each prayer, which helped sometines in hot weather. but you have to wait till the bus is full.

was there for umrah 12mar-20mar 2012. check in was quite smooth. Haram was approximately 150m from back of hotel. breakfast was so-so. everyday served same menu. boring. housekeeping team are friendly & professionals. they starts doing their rounds very early morning. excellent work. free wi-fi only applicable in rooms. must get the code slip from frontdesk. hotel provide free bus service to Haram but refrain from taking it near sholat time because its go around for at least 20-30 mins because roads behind the hotel to HARAM closed 30mins before adzan. advisable walk to HARAM only about15 mins.

Room Tip: we stayed in level 3. rooms was in front of lifts. we can hear peoples talking outside while sleepin...

We stayed there in April 2011. Staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are good size and are cleaned daily by some very friendly cleaning staff. Breakfast good but supper limited to buffet and comparably expensive. One major problem is that I found it very difficult to making a direct booking from South Africa. Otherwise a most pleasurable stay.

My wife and I stayed there for Hajj in 2011 and very happy that our Hajj group picked this hotel, very close to Haram shareef, only about 5-8 minutes walk, food is very good, rooms are very clean and good size, lobby area is huge and one can comfortably sit down and relax, would highly recommend this hotel for future or returning Hajis and/or Umrah visitors.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and it was great. The location of the hotel is 5 mins away from Haram; it opens up to the entrance of the 1st floor, basement and Gate No. 1. The rooms were very nice including the linen, furniture and towels. We went during 1st week of Ramadan and the Iftar was very nice. The hotel arranged for a drop off to the airport for SAR 200 in a very good car. Over all, we were very impressed and would definitely select this hotel again. Cost wise, it was the cheapest 5 star hotel we found in Makkah that was in walking distance from Haram.

Room Tip: Ask for a late check out; we checked out at 5pm.
