will talk here about staying for four nights, once we arrive we shocked about the location, as this is the first time to Makkah, the area is on a small hill, but the street getting more than 50° , so walking on foot is extremely hard, you had to ride a car or a shuttle bus, the hotel entrance is behind a big building or hotel that through and keep the garbage in their back yard and that make the entire street full of garbage everywhere,

entering the hotel: without single word talking; no conversation at all, as i paid already online; i just present the voucher and my passports the receptionist silently picked them up, check the PC and give me 2 secure keys, and that is all, the reception is horizontally stretch into three buildings beside each other, so the hotel has three entrance, the higher one (remember you are walking on a hill) is the reception, if you enter one of the other buildings you need to take the elevator to M to enter the lobby and reception

rooms are clean, and always clean, but small, house keeping are available any time all the time, the good thing there is a good place to contain your suit case, bathroom is small, but always clean, no bath tub, only shower with no glass door, so it is easy to wet the floor, but there is always more floor towels to dry the floor with

breakfast, lunch, are wonderful arabian food, we really, and i mean really enjoy the breakfast even it is repeating, but it was excellent quality

if we ignore the exterior of the hotel, we would go their again, because the smell of the garbage is not affecting the rooms at all because we didn't open the windows as there is no view, all rooms are to the main street side, so it is the back of the building view and garbage, so no view except a small view of haram if you look at side

I have chosen this hotel since i heard about elaf company and that they are having good hotel services...one night i spent in elaf ajyad and not a single thing was good....the room is very small...the shower area was not enough for a dog to take a bath...the bed is small only good for those who qre 160 cm tall and less, otherwise you will sleep with your feets outside the bed. At arrival time the bellboy informed me that the breakfast will be from 6 am to 11:30 am...i went down to the reastuarant at 10, and i found that there is no buffet and that the breakfast is from 6 to 9:30 only...the receptionist who checked me in did not have the interest to answer my question, i asked him for the prayer time of maghrib sala...he replied me to call another number and ask and closed the phone in my face..even it is not his job to tell me...he should have the info since he is in macca and a muslim...the most funny part was the tv....to clear channels at all....i dont know how this bulding is rated to be a hotel and if i need to give rating it will be zeroooooo

The Hotel is Classified as 4 Star, I am not sure how they managed to get this classification?
I would say a 2 Star and this is being generous. The accommodation is extremely basic, rooms and beds are dirty, the bed linen looks like it's being recycled for years, it is smelly and dirty. The air-conditioning is leaking on the bedroom floor.
Customer service is also an alien concept, extremely disappointed for the price and will not be recommending this to anyone.

Room Tip: Make sure your booking is refundable.

I'll start with the positives: Nice buffet breakfast, the room itself was clean and well maintained, the room service was reliable and offered a good selection of meals at reasonable prices.

The not so positive: Those travelling with older family members please be aware that getting to and from the Haram is not easy even though there is a shuttle bus service, this is because the hotel is located on a hill and often times the bus is packed and you may need to stand. Also waiting for the bus on the way back to the hotel is an ordeal. It would have been nice for the hotel to inform guests that there are three towers A, B and C and if you get in the wrong lift you will end up lost! The staff could be a great deal more friendly and helpful.

i stay for 3 nights at elaf. the distance to Haram is quite far. in the morning, the electricity down for 10 minutes. the most terrible is flies in the room! also in the dining room. i have no idea how flies can enter 15th floor but it was really annoying. too many pilgrims make you must waiting longer to the lift.
