The place has new management since the poor review was published in LP. Great place to stay, v friendly, good to meet other travellers in the chilled out communal area where you can get a range of food and drinks. Location fab too. Enjoy.

Good budget hotel, staff is very friendly. Rooms are a bit run down and could be cleaned better, but are a good size. Overall great value for money.

Room tip: Don't pay the extra 5 JD for a balcony, but do pay it for the en-suite bathroom

The Staff are quite pleasant and will go out of their way to make your stay really comfortable. The rooms are nice and the beds were comfortable and clean.Hot water is available, which in most hotels at this price you have to guess whether or not it will be their or not. Really the only downside when we stayed was the next morning the bells from the church next door rang very early in the morning. The location is also great close to many shops and taxis and buses. If I were to visit that area most certainly would rebook my stay there.

Room tip: The rooms have shared and private bathrooms which in price is about $8.00 between these options

We loved the food and good service here we ate here twice, and if not for a power blackout would have made it three times. Portions are very generous and reasonably priced. All the salads seemed to be freshly made. Try the fresh lemon juice with mint. Stick to beer, but they have wine by the glass also.

The place has a cosy and friendly athmosphere...I imagine the hotel would be very comfortable and clean. (The restaurant toilets were spotless).

We extended our stay in this hotel for an extra night as we felt it such good value and plan to return again, using Madaba as a base before we leave for the Airport (rather than Amman).

We found out about the hotel through some Belgians we met on the road, who had had a great experience at the hotel and recommended it to us. Our experience was also excellent, and we have already recommended it on to other budget travellers. On arrival, our room was upgraded. The owners were friendly and helped arrange cheap transport to the dead sea and holy sites - a car was too expensive for us alone (we are on a tight budget) so they managed to find other travellers who were staying in different hotels, to share the journey and split the cost of having a driver and car for the day. The breakfast was good, and whenever we returned home from a hard day's exploring we were met with a friendly enquiry about our trip and a nice cup of mint tea. It is also opposite a scrummy restuarant, the Haret Jdoudna which serves the nicest food we've eaten in Jordan!

Room tip: Avoid the room above the Kitchen (room 8) if you can as it gets pretty toasty at night!
