Salome is a confortable, clean hotel with very friendly people. Quiet place, good breakfast. Only friday night is difficult, very noisy because of local and saoudian tourists.
The driver ,TAWFEEQ SALAHAT, who is working for the hotel is really perfect ! Very tactful, with a good sens of humour, nice cool driving in a confotable car.
It was hard to see that there were only a few tourists in Jordanie. Jordanie is not Syria, so don't hesitate to visit this wonderful country and its nice people.

Please change the picture of your hotel, it is much bigger now than what is shown on the picture.

We stayed here as part of G Adventures trip. Convenient walking location to town. Service is good and the restaurant food was good as well. Free wifi in reception area.

My friend and I are doing some long-term world travel, and had the chance to stay at the Salome Hotel during our time in Madaba (three separate nights total). The beds are clean, the rooms are comfortable (and feature balconies and heat/AC), and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The breakfast at Salome is quite solid. Nothing extravagant, but more than enough to prep you for your day: Coffee/tea, cereal and milk, eggs, pancakes (with some fig-type syrup that I became addicted to), mixed vegetables, and a few other items.

Probably the most unique feature of Salome is the well-stocked DVD selection in the lobby. All the rooms include DVD players, so you can pick a DVD out from the first floor (for me, it was Watchmen and Eastern Promises) and watch something you actually enjoy.

Also, as a bonus: Free Internet. I've spent a lot of time in hotels on this trip, and free WiFi is something you come to really value.

Anyway, if you're going to Madaba for religious tourism (it's walking distance to the center of the city), or Amman for something more mainstream (only a few minutes away), I'd recommend this hotel.

My husband and I just returned home from Madaba where we spent three nights in Salome Hotel on two separate occasions. It's a friendly, quiet place and excellent value for money compared to some other places we stayed in in Jordan: OK location, clean, comfortable, with DVD players in the rooms and a decent selection of DVDs to borrow from the lobby free of charge. The room we got the second time round was better than the first time though, so I'd recommend you see a couple of rooms before picking one.
