On suggestion from the desk at our hotel and even from our cab drivers, this was the place to stop for lunch after a morning of viewing the Roman ruins. 10 of us had "mixed grill"; a plate of lamb, beef and chicken for each person along with two sets of the large flat bread and all the mezzo (hummus, tabbouleh, olives, etc) on the table. It was delicious and more than we could eat. That and a sprite or Pepsi and the bill came to about $21 per person.
Very nice interior, cool and airy. Clean bathroom. Great service, very speedy.

Our driver recommended this place and its ideal to cool down after the ruins in Jerash. A pleasant spacious and airy restaurant so that even if there are smokers you will not be affected. The fountains make a nice touch. Restrooms are clean. The service is fast and friendly, plenty of fresh food and reasonably priced.

You may need to ask a taxi to take you here. The menu is limited to four meat items, but your table will be filled with more than enough wonderful food. The best Arab bread, tangy hummus, and grilled chicken, lamb, shish kebab or mixed grill. JD30 for more than 2 people could possibly eat

This restaurant was booked by our travel advisor and I must say that was a great job on his part. The waiters are very helpful in assisting you to select the food. The restaurant feels like a Bedouin tent. The food was nice, tasty and served with great splendour.
The only negative side of this restaurant was that since it is an open air restaurant, your lunch will be marred by the innumerable no of flies which disturbs you and sits on the food which is quite disgusting and nauseating. You will have to fan yourself throughout your meal in order to drive them out of your food.
They should definitely have an air conditioned enclosure as also the heat during the day is oppressive and the sun shines directly on you from the sides and you need to cool down during your meal after seeing the remains of the Roman town in Jerash.
Will not recommend this place as I thought it to be greatly unhygienic.
