Description: The ruins of the Greco -Roman city of GERASA are located in Jerash which is one of the largest and well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside of Italy. We are proudly located in this ancient city that bursts with history, we have almost become a historical monument amongst the ancient ruins. No one can mention Jerash without thinking "Um Khalil" they are intertwined!

We were very pleasantly suprised by the Lebanese House Restaurant. It is a bit hard to find as the sign is best seen as you enter Jerash but since it is a divided highway you have to loop around to find the entrance up a small street but worth the effort. A palacial building the restaurant is quite nice and up market. The food was very good. Everything was fresh, the salad was amazing and huge, the grilled meats scrumptious. Highly recommend it if you are in Jerash for the day.

After visiting the Roman ruins in Jerash, Jordan, we found this restaurant -- which was packed with Jordanian families, and almost no parking to be found in its lot. Despite being so busy, the matre 'd seated us immediately, and we enjoyed a great meal with wonderful hummus and pita, cubes of grilled lamb, and a wonderful tomato and cucumber salad. While we spent 5 days visiting major sites in Jordan, this was our best meal in the country.

I liked the variaty of choice, fresh and many vegetables, and everything so tasty. And I lke that customers were all locals with big families, that means that the restaurant is really good !

This is a huge restaurant run by a Lebanese family. It seems to have quite a reputation in the area, if not in Jordan. Although huge it's divided into areas, so we were in a room with lots of local Jordanian families - always a good indication of quality.
My wife and I are vegetarian, which has been difficult at times in Jordan. No problems here, though. There was a huge range of great vege hot and cold mezze. And a lovely half-bottle of local Jordanian red wine. Highly recommended

If you're planning to visit the ruins in Jerash, you must visit this restaurant afterwards. The food is simply amazing. We used to come here a lot when we were kids, the restaurant was set in an old authentic house, which in my opinion looked much better than the way it looks now, it seems that the restaurant was recently renovated and lost its authentic look, but i'm glad the food didn't change. If you don't know what to order, just order 1 plate from each appetizer and a plate of mixed grilled meats, you won't be disappointed.
