The castle had nice views, but it was nothing special. For only 1 JD it's worth the detour, but I preferred Karak Castle.

Combine this castle with Jerash as you are close anyway and there is nothing else around.

It's pretty well preserved for a castle ruin and for 1JD you can't really complain.

It was nice to see some greenery, get to cooler temps and the view is nice.

Not sure whether you will like the fort but definitely you will like the 360 view once you are there

Showcasing military and archeological might, Ajloun Fort is a pleasant stop. The best part is that the hilltop that the fort is located on, which gives you very nice views. There is also a museum for your viewing. The place is near to Jerash and can be combined at one go. Overall a pleasant sight.

A fort on top of the mountain in Ajloun...from the Crusadors era...It has an amazing view of Ajloun mountains...very nice architectural design, has a small museum....very minimal entrance fee ( 0.25 JD for Jordanians and 1 JD ($1.4) for foreigners)....it is worth the trip....and actually nice drive to get to it since you get to enjoy the views of tree filled mountains of Ajloun..
