“Amazing views”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

A fort on top of the mountain in Ajloun...from the Crusadors era...It has an amazing view of Ajloun mountains...very nice architectural design, has a small museum....very minimal entrance fee ( 0.25 JD for Jordanians and 1 JD ($1.4) for foreigners)....it is worth the trip....and actually nice drive to get to it since you get to enjoy the views of tree filled mountains of Ajloun..

“Picturesque view at Ajloun Fort”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Ajloun fort is the first place which I visited in Jordan. It was built by Muslim warriors in 1984-1985 for fighting with the Crusades . It was perched on the top of the hill. The weather is very good. During my visit was the end of semester. so there were many students visited here. The students, most of them are boys, were very friendly and naughty. They were very welcomed the tourists and would like to take photos with us. Be careful when walking to the fort, there are some uneven stairs. We had to climb sometimes. The local guide or the guidebook were recommended. We should go to the top of the Fort to see the picturesque view, the weather is cold and windy but fresh. There were also the museum in the fort too. Spend the time here, you will enjoy it.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

For the small entrance fee of 1JOD, Ajloun is worth a visit for the views alone. The fort has a compact museum which is an interesting visit and in general its a good way to spend an hour.

“For Crusader history fans”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

A small castle with a long history though there is not much too see once you are there. great views from the top however. just 1JD to get in but if you are not a big fan of crusader history maybe spend time doing something else. but i enjoyed it however
