We stay here, luckily, for only 1 night. We think there was only one other guest at the time, so clearly its not a popular hotel at the moment.
The room was very dingy and smelled strongly of smoke, including the towels and bedclothes. We didn't sleep under the 'covers' as they were just a rough wool blanket and a dull colour bottom sheet.
Bathroom was dirty, old and very small. The shower water pressure was very low.
Breakfast was a boiled egg and make your own coffee which we didn't bother with.
We booked the Kings Highway tour down to Petra, the wife and I had to pay for the full JD100 as there were no other guests to take the tour. Generally OK but when we arrived Petra we asked the driver if he could drop us at our hotel near the entry of the site but he refused and dumped us in the middle of a residential area. He said take a taxi, when we stated there weren't any to be seen he said 'lots of taxis'. We saw none and it was lucky a passing local asked if he could drop us over at the hotel in his car.
This is a hostel, and not even a very good one. Location is central but since taxis are cheap you might as well stay further out as there's not much to see anyway in Amman.
