We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and later on our tour for 2 nights. Very nice hotel, nice and spacious rooms. Our first room went to the hillside resp. ventilation pit - not a great view, but rather quiet. Our second room had an excellent view to the blue Mosque (5 minutes walking distance) and the square (Abdali Bus Station). Very picturesque, but very loud (earplugs necessary).
The hot water for the shower takes some time, but than it gets really hot. Hairdryer in the bath room.
The rooms are equipped with a water boiler and a tea kit. We did not try the water boiler, but the one in our friends' room did not work (so they said).
Air con in good working order. As it was not too hot in October, we turned it off. The room climate was ok anyway.
Rich and tasty breakfast and dinner buffet, very helpful and friendly staff (kitchen as well as reception and room service).
Location within walking distance to the city center, but you might need a taxi for the way back, as the hotel is located on a hill (should cost no more than 3-5 dinars). An elevator leads from the hotel to the square below. The way from the square down to the city center takes about 20-30 minutes.
We did not go to the swimming pool and the gym, but check out the days for ladies and for men. Nice arabesque decorations in hall and dining room.

Room Tip: Rooms on the hillside are rather quiet, but without a view. Rooms to the square have a great view...

Stayed for one night only as we were in Amman for a total of only about 18 hours. Room was nice, but the view out of our window was into the steep 'cliff' the hotel is build on.
The bathtub-shower in the bathroom was a bit awkward. When i shifted the shower head to direct the water flow onto the wall so that i could get into the tub without getting a face full of cold water i ended up flooding the bathroom floor.
The hotel is located close to the Citadel and Amphitheater which was nice.
We strolled out through the lobby and up towards a busy section of the town, found a nice place to eat and then a tucked away shisha place which was great.
We were actually looking for the Friday night market which everyone seemed set on telling us was a myth, but we eventually found it by going down the road and then finding some stairs that led down to the road at the bottom of the cliff (with the help of a friendly local boy).
By the time we reached the market it was doing its last bit of shutting down.
We then found that you can access the hotel from the bottom street, but you have to take two separate lifts to get up to the lobby so it can be a little confusing.
Breakfast was good, very little protein on offer though.
Staff were all very pleasant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor with a view.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and ate buffet breakfast there. Wonderful location, hospitable staff, good food and a non intimidating ambience. Our twin room was very spacious. We travelled to all tourist locations by car hired through Rawand tours. The car was with us throughout the day and gave airport to airport service. It was superb at very good price. The driver Tariq helped us in chalking out a good iternary and we could cover about ten locations in 4 days. A big thank you to Toledo Amman, Rawand tours and Tariq for making our v acation so memorable.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and then returned again for a night at the end of the trip. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable and the buffet breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 10mins walk to the shops and restaurants and a great base to be travelling outside Amman.

There were a few minor things which could be improved. Firstly, the timings for massage service is extremely limited because of which we were unable to book. Secondly, when were returned for the last night, the room we were given was great, but the speed of the water in both the basin and shower was annoyingly slow. Lastly, we were charged for consuming drinks from the fridge in our room which we hadn't, therefore were very unimpressed when we had to pay for them as we had no way to prove them wrong. I'm don't know if this was a genuine mistake or whether staff members had removed the drinks, but we had no choice but to pay.

Dear friend,

Thank you for taking the time to write your positive feedback regarding your stay. I am glad you chose to stay with us and found it comfortable.

But I am disturbed about your comment about being charged for beverages you did not consume. Rest assured a hotel of this size does not have a policy of generating revenue through means that are suspicious. The staff have clear instructions on how to handle such circumstances Please accept my sincerest apology for any misunderstanding that might have occured and allow us to make it up to you. Kindly, take a moment to contact me at hbarakat@toledohotel.jo .

The location was perfect. A 2 JD taxi ride to downtown. The rooms were large, basic but very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and all we dealt with spoke English. Ate the buffet breakfast which could have done with a bit more fresh fruit (only had apples). The coffee we had in the afternoon was possibly the worst coffee I have had since leaving home though!

The Hotel Toledo is very welcoming and well maintained: a real value for money. The accommodation is located in a discreet and tranquil residential area, and offers several services to visit the city and the country in general. It also offers the possibility of booking local guides for visits with the car.

We wanted to visit Jordan, departing from Amman till Aquaba, passing from Jerash and the Dead Sea – in 8 days. We were approached by Jamal: our driver and tourist guide.

We were very pleased with Jamal’s guide and strongly suggest him to everyone. He was extremely professional, very cautious to “his guests” (as he used to call us) and very fluent in English. We often followed his suggestions in regards to accommodation, places of interest to visit – and we were always satisfied with his proposals. If you want to visit the Jordan with a valid local guide, delightful, and capable to immerse you in the local culture, then Jamal is you right person for you!

This is a good 3 star hotel for tourists. The rooms are smal but functional with all usual features.
It is situated fairly centrally and within walking distance of the Blue Mosque.
The lobby is very attractive with mosaics etc. The restaurant is good for breakfast and ok for evening meal - buffet etc open 24 hours A lot of Arabs stay here too so it can't be bad.
Amman itself is a friendly city but is mostly featureless with no real centre so only worth a day or two. We stayed here to visit Uum Qais and Jeraz before heading south to Dana.
Hired a car to do our own touring - I did't mind the stock car racing that passes for driving here but a word of warning if you do - Amman is amongst the worst city driving we have encountered!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have a worse view but the traffic noise is less. Then again if you go for a higher...
