We stayed 2 nights at Larsa hotel and liked it.
Reception and lobby is nice. Staff need to be taught on first greeting customers.

The hotel is in a nice quiet upscale locality. There are 2 malls near by - Mecca Mall and Carrefour which are a 5 minute taxi ride away.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed linens were also very clean and pressed.
Would have loved it if they had kept a bottle of water in the room.

There is free internet in the room, but we couldn't find a plug point to charge the laptop! The only plug points in the room were behind the TV.

Toilet needs a working ventilator.

We loved the breakfast. They had a variety of local fresh fruits and the hot breakfast was also different each day.

A very pleasant hotel. Huge rooms, clean. Very helpfull and nice people at the desk. Specially the very large inner space looks great. We choose this hotel for the swimming pool, but the pools wasn't ready for use. But it was also to cold to wsim in Amman. And we were told by our guide that the water in the pool is very very cold. One minor downside we traveled with two small kids and couldn't get two rooms next to eachother, or a family room.

And finally one BIG downside. Very close to the hotel is a mosquee and at about 4 AM they started to pray very very loud throught the speakers for about half an hour.....

My daughter and I visited Jordan last Summer and stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is situated in a residential up market area and hence is pretty far off from the centre. There are no shops, restaurants around this area. The hotel itself is pretty decent with reasonably good size, clean rooms although the Air condition wasn't working for the first 2 nights. They have 1 restaurant that serves good breakfast and good meals. The large malls are about 20 minute cab ride away or around 40 minute straight walk. One can get cabs easily from outside the hotel. The staff is cheerful and helpful.

Request a nonsmoking room -- they have them!
The hotel is not close to city center or other attractions but there is a bakery, pharmacy, atm, and grocery nearby.

Stayed at Larsa for 6 nights at start and completion of tour of Jordan. Good value for money 3* hotel. Smart reception; friendly, helpful welcome; rooms much better than expected based on previous reviews. Stayed in 2 different rooms, both clean and well appointed. Ok, no tea/coffee/water but bar fridge and not a problem to buy cheap bottled water, juice, colas, snacks from supermarket one block away and huge shopping mall 3 minute taxi ride away.

Relatively quiet location near 8th circle, 15 minute taxi ride west of downtown. Fine if you have transport arranged, but Taxis not expensive. Open plan central atrium clad in marble means noise transmission. Despite two different weddings and parties we were not disturbed too much by noise.

Breakfast arabic buffet ok. Fairly basic but cereal, toast and spreads, tea coffee, juices and hot buffet provided.

Dinner buffet looked good value; dont expect too much from the swimming pool or health club, but wifi Internet @ USD5 per 24hrs was useful.

Previous reviews complaining about expensive beers and water are I consider are unfounded. Bottled water in hotels all over the world is generally charged for unless you are in USA where you can have iced tap water for free. I can only presume the guest who claims he was charged US$60 for a beer misunderstood the exchange rates. A good draught pint of Amstel in the bar or restaurant sells for around 4JD or US$6 which seems reasonable to me.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Larsa and would stay here again.

The hotel is very good and worth staying. The only problem with Jordan hotel is that we have to pay for drinking water while having meals.
