Remarkable- best option for limited time visits

You will be informed about the history of the area and the Citadel and you will have a great time at the same time. If you need a guided tour, their are plenty of guides.

It will take you around 2-3 hours to cover the grounds. Good option, because you will be able to see a remarkable archaeological site with beautiful views and surroundings.

It also has a museum.

Great view of the city and also the remaining parts of the buildings were well presented.
Would recommend for an hour to 1 1/2 hours

Roman ruin in Amman

Absolutely worth spending time here. It might not be the biggest Roman ruin but it’s easy accessible and give a good story together with a great view over Amman. Taking into consideration that Amman don’t have the biggest attractions, I recommend this.
Inside the citadel a tour can be done in 30 minutes but I recommend to spend a bit more

So-so

Overall it's okay, but to be honest most exhibits are from Jericho and you can find better exhibits in Palestine, Jerusalem and Egypt. And better Roman remains in Petra and Lebanon.

After Jerash, this is just another Roman Ruin

The title may be a bit harsh as the views over the city alone are worth the trip, but compared to Jerash, the Citadel is a bit of a let down. If you are tight for time, miss this and spend an extra hour in Jerash
