“Great Value, Location, Restaurant--Nice People”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

This is a 3 star hotel that is small and easy--very clean, comfortable and accommodating. Good location and the restaurant is lovely, affordable serving very good Mediterranean food. The Inn has a nice bar and outdoor patio that must be fun in summer months.

Bonita Inn is a fantastic place. The hotel itself is comfortable, well managed and well maintained. The rooms are warm and clean and really make you feel at home. In addition to what you can find an amazing bar, with lots of ambiance, almost every night, with great music and every drink you can think of. There is also a very nice Spanish restaurant, that looks like a classy place, with great service and a diversified menu. Everything I tried was yummy, especially with a good glass of Jordanian wine. The location is also great: everything is near by or easily accessible. All in all, it is a great place to stay and it really feels nice to go back to Bonita Inn after a long day of visit or work in Amman.

Room Tip: If you are an early bird, try to avoid the ones that give directly on the bar.

I loved staying at Bonita! I was here for about 3 weeks while I searched for an apartment in the city. The staff is lovely, non-intrusive, but very helpful when you need it. Other guests tend to be from all over the place, and I enjoyed meeting other travelers. The breakfast is simple and healthy. I love the location - you can safely & comfortably walk to Rainbow St (where there are many cafes and sites to be found) or easily get a cab to further parts of the city. And wifi! The cleaning staff was great; the room was always clean & the entire place is meticulously maintained. I have also heard rave reviews of the restaurant but I never actually got to go.

Spanish themed Inn. very cozy, excellent attention, close to everything, yet very seclusive. we stayed with my wife for 5 days, personal very attentive, friendly , and knowlegdable. even the owner came to greet us. they have a restaurant in the premises with good Spanish food. rooms simple, but clean, they have all what you need. in our trip to Petra , they went the extra mile and prepare us picnic basket very early in the morning. I would stay again, if one day we go back.

Room Tip: Close to the main streets.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Bonita Inn. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and welcoming, and the rooms didn't disappoint. Clean, good breakfast (beautifully presented!) and fairly central location. Very pleasantly surprised.

Bonita Inn is a charming place to stay. I only stayed for one night while passing through on work, but I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, elegant and better than expected.
They were going through some work in the hotel which I expect will be finished soon, so I look forward to staying again and seeing it more, and having the time to try the restaurant which look fantastic!

I thought that the Bonita Inn would be a good choice, based on the location and fact that it was small would favour a more personal service - but I was wrong.
The man who checked us in was extremely curt - maybe because the workmen who were banging about the place were upsetting him. The corridor outside our room was littered with rubbish, including a half eaten tray of french fries. When I tried to get the code for wifi the man who checked us barked out a sequence, which didn't work. I asked again with pen and paper, which he declined to write on, but clarified the code - which still didn't work. Next time found someone else who wrote out the correct code, which was completely different the previously advised code. Once I had the correct code, the wifi worked well.
The room was tired looking, and the door was still showing the gaps (mentioned in an earlier review) where it had been prised open. The shower mixer did not work correctly, and there was only one towel supplied for the double room. The toilet seat would not stay up, and an one point the toilet would not flush - but this started working again in the morning. There was a fridge in the room. It was unplugged, but did work OK.
The room was on the first floor, which meant that we could the fans from the restaurant. During the night at 2am the fans were turned off and the banging and clattering started, clearly with no regard to the comfort of the resident guests. Once we were truly awake the fans came back on again, just to make sure we would stay awake for a while longer.
The breakfast was a cold buffet, with hot water so you could make your own tea or coffee. No hot options. I overheard one of the other guests ask the waiter - "is this all there is"? Unfortunately, that was it, and it was enough to persuade me to cancel the remaining nights I had booked, and we moved to a different hotel.
On the positive side, the location is good for walking downtown. When we picked up our baggage later, the manager was there and apologised profusely and offered to move us.
It pretty clear that the hotel side is not their core business, and even if they sorted out the service issues, it would still be over priced.
