The hotel seems to be brand new and it was pretty much empty during my stay.

The lobby is an amazing up scale space with a modern tasteful decoration. I did enjoy the majlis area, with complimentary coffee and dates. Besides this and the arab background music, you could be anywhere in the western world. I guess this is something it is not easily experienced in any of the older hotels of the region.

The rooms are small but well decorated. The mattresses and pillows could use some improvement. The sweets platter was a nice surprise.

The breakfast was good, especially the manakesh done in the stone oven. I could have enjoyed a bigger variety of fresh squeezed juices and cheese, but overall it was ok.

The view over the city is impressive, especially if you go up to the 21st floor sky lounge. The only awkward thing about this classy lounge is having the indoor pool side by side with the restaurant. I would feel uncomfortable to use the pool in that setting. There is something not quite right there.

I hate hotels without free wireless internet. How Internet can be considered a luxury is beyond me.

Nevertheless, I do believe it is a good value for the money and would definitely use it again.

There are great hotels in Amman - and this is the new and very shiny "kid on the block." Done in Arabic style, it takes 5 star in a different direction. I'm not sure I would want the illuminated piano, golden sofa or the red chairs in my home, but every detail, style and look has clearly been carefully thought about...and it works incredibly well. Great staff, helpful, friendly! M level lounge is comfortable and friendly - great pool up on floor 21 with beautiful views of Amman. For those who want to dive into Arabic taste and don't want just another hotel...this is the place! Also...as most of Amman is not "pedstrian friendly" it was great to be in Shmeisani, where within meters of the hotels are restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc.

Room Tip: As in many hotels - the higher the floor, the better the view

We stayed in the hotel two days ago. This hotel is very new and the interior in the room is pretty but we experienced some functional problems. The junior suit we used had two problems - one was its A/C. Our room was so cold but we couldn't adjust the room temperature. The engineer we called couldn't fix the problem. The other problem was the water temperature. The hot water wasn't hot enough and again we had to call the engineer. He told us to wait for 30 minutes and it was eventually ok. The glass partition in the bathtub only covers a half length so if you have a shower there with its overhead shower, the floor in the bathroom becomes very wet straight away. I tried to iron my clothes but the wall socket was the wrong size for the iron. Overall, it is a pretty hotel but there are some functional problems which we don't normally experience in 5 star hotels.

We stayed here due to the fact that it was a brand new hotel with a pool therefore expected it to be spotless. The lobby has wow factor and the rooms were nicely done with modern touches. We mentioned it was our anniversary so were promptly delivered a substantial cake which was impossible to finish and couldn't be refrigerated due to the size, nevertheless we were grateful and impressed. We tried the spa which did not meet our expectations, they forgot to add the new customer discount as advertised, when we addressed this with the manager, they said they would add a discount if we used the spa service again as opposed to refunding us the discount we were entitled to in the first instance! The hotel pool has no privacy and sits on the top floor surrounded by a bar / restaurant. It doesn't encourage you to use it as you would be surrounded by diners as opposed to people just lounging around the pool. Both the pool and the shower facilities were dirty and the shower in particularly was incomplete or had bad workmanship. Service was generally slow both in the restaurant and the bar in the lobby. It wasn't unusual for the staff to forget something you order. Overall the breakfast variety was great however. Friendly staff but very forgetful!

Room Tip: Do not order a taxi through the hotel. Hail one on the street. Its generally 4JD to go anywhere in...

I had the pleasure of staying in the Millennium Hotel for two weeks in March.

This being my first visit to Jordan and the Middle East I wasn't sure what to expect but this place gave an incredible first impression both in the quality of the surroundings but also the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

The restaurants and bars are immaculately presented and offered consistently excellent fare. The rooms are equally as immaculate and very generous, and the beds are enormous. The Sky Lounge is a particular highlight with its panoramic view over the city.

This is a very calming place to stay and relax in what is otherwise a very busy city.
