“Very neglected hotel”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

This hotel is very impressive-looking, BUT it is falling apart, so many things were not working. The worst being the toilet that was blocked and took ages to flush!! The bedding and pillows left a lot to be desired and the carpet was so dirty I wouldn't walk on it in bare feet.
We left very very early in the morning only to see women being dropped off and fetched ????

My friend recommended this hotel to me for my visit to amman, and i am so grateful for this choice.
The atmosphere of the hotel is classic, and the staff are very friendly. It's true that the hotel is not new, but it's renovated, the rooms are clean and the staff are ready to help all the time.
I liked piano lounge and enjoyed piano live music in the evenings. and i got to know that they are willing to open an oriental outlet with a very nice terasse at the end of the month, I wished i was there for opening beacus eit looked amazing
i guess that i will make it again to this hotel if i am back to jordan for the good treatment .

Room Tip: Try the massage at the helath club, they are so professional

This Hotel is definitely not 5 star standard. The entrance lobby is impressive but that is where it stops. The rooms smell of tabacco and even the linen on the beds. The walls show signs of dampness and the walls are peeling particularly in the bathroom. The interior of the room overall was below standard and showed signs of needing a facelift. No coffee or tea was provided and the T/V was very badly tuned. Despite 3 calls to the reception...nothing happened!!The room was not properly cleaned or prepared for our stay, there were peels and nut shells all over the floor. Over all thoroughly disappointed and reading other negative remarks dated over a year ago, nothing has changed. We travel a lot but this hotel will not see us again......be warned other visitors!

The 5 star self appointed title they give themselves is a serious disclaimer! Disgusting rooms, we had roaches twice, dirty carpet, unchanged sheets, etc. Went to breakfast in their restaurant, and my new table settings included a dirty glass with pink lipstick...hard to miss! I don't understand why it is as expensive as it is for the value you get, and wish I had done more research before my arrival on the actual hotel facilities. Online it says that the wifi is free but beware they charge you 10 JD/day!

Room Tip: A different hotel is the better option.

Rooms were spacious, but beds worn out. Good dinner and pleasant local red wine with it. The hotel in general maintained but everything seems old and stuck together. The plug of the electrical kettle does not fit into the wall plug? Our room just above air conditioners and with noise throughout the night

I stayed at floor 16, and next to my room was brothel suit with loud music, drunk people, and few night ladies! with loud music, shouts and noise till Friday morning. I was surprised for a five star hotel to let it happen, and to let these night ladies enter the hotel in the first place...

Room Tip: Be a way from cornor suites, as it is usually occupied by people looking for night life!

This hotel is overlooking a highway in Amman. About 15 minutes walk is a shabby area with some local shops and restaurants. The lobby is very elegant and newly refurbished to a very high standard. Reception staff were helpful and and polite to us throughout our 3 night stay.

The shock came when the lift opened to our floor. The smell of old carpets was all over the corridor and indeed inside the room. Furniture is very old, stained, scratched and over used. The paint on the bathroom door already pealing off. To be fair, the room was clean yet it did not feel as such because of the stains and the worn out furniture. The mini bar was empty (probably that is why they did not ask for a deposit).

The breakfast buffet was really good with a well balanced variety of food. Restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly.
