“Good location and need room renovation”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

Stayed for a night. A very nice lobby interior but terrible in rooms. Especially in bathrooms, definetly it need a renovation for flooring and walls. Shower need to be repaired. In overall it was a nice hotel to stay and close to the city and shopping area

Very well appointed hotel. Comfortable, great hotel, wonderful staff, good price. I did not have breakfast but it looked very good. The lobby and all seating areas are comfortable. I particularly liked the location of the hotel. Nice and safe area.

Room Tip: east side, back of elevators is wonderful. Quiet and private.

Stayed for 2 nights in Nov. 2013 as part of a group of 40 pilgrims. Hotel was not a personal choice.

Overall a decent hotel with room & selection of food for breakfast & dinner which met our expectation. Unable to comment extensively in this review as encounter with hotel staff was limited outside the restaurant. Check in was assisted by trip organizer while check out was fast.

However, sizable number of group members had no supply of warm water in bathroom for shower on day 2 (31/11/13). They were moved to other rooms on 2nd night. According to trip organizer who selected this hotel for earlier groups, it was not a usual problem on previous visits.

There are some shops within walking distance from the hotels for beverages & snacks.

Landed in Amman late, our guide called to have the restaurant open for us, very accommodating. Food was good, clean rooms and friendly staff. Stayed one night only so we could travel to Petra the next day. Breakfast was good with many items to choose from.

Our room was just fine. Seemed to new enough and quite clean. The service at the front desk was good, but free wifi was not available even in the lobby. Seems to be a popular wedding location. For me having the wedding in the hotel added to my visit since it gave me a chance to observe a Jordanian wedding. The location wasn't bad --close to a great baclava shop, a shopping area and Starbucks (15 mins walk). The breakfast was the low point--there was enough to keep me happy ; but compared to other similar hotels, it was not up to calibre.

My wife & I were part of a tour group who stayed here twice in three nights surrounding a night in Aqaba and a day at Petra. Our room was adequate but small and in need of re-modelling. There were an inadequate number of threadbare towels in the bathroom, nd the room lighting was dim. We found the food decent if uninspired at dinner, and pedestrian at breakfast. At dinner, the maitre'd was officious. I do not like to be told where to sit, especially when we were the only group using the restaurant when we arrived for the first night. And the desk staff seemed incompetent the first night and inadequate the second night. A call from a friend who lives in Amman never reached me during the first stay, as the front desk could not find us in the registry. And on the second stay, the hotel was rocking with two weddings, which resulted in minimal service. And the 'public' computer facilities were useless. If you are going to Jordan specifically to see the Dead Dea from the Jordan side and/or Petra, skip Amman, and find another way to Aqaba as your base city.

Room Tip: Don`t. Go somewhere else. This hotel has delusions that it is good!

The hotel has a four star rating which is a complete joke. The food is awful. The restaurant staff have no idea of providing a good service. The food in the restaurant (buffet) is barley warm and sometime stone cold. The rooms are ok and the housekeeping service is ok. But when I was there they had weddings nearly everyday and it got very noisy.
