“Food at Indu, the Indian Restaurant”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Indu's Food was very good as usual, except the soup, which we did not liked. Ambiance is great. One of the best places for having Indian food in Amman as you do not find Indian food in Amman easily. This place really offers you choice of good food

Recently on a business trip, I enjoyed the excellent facilities. Specifically, the gym and its equipment and the indoor pool is first class. The outside pool appeared very attractive. Breakfast (included in the rate) was five star excellence as was the waiter service in the breakfast room as well as the piano bar area. The Cinco de Mayo restaurant within the hotel has excellent food and very good value for money. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Specify a king bed if needed and without a connecting door (noise travels loudly through the door...

Our first time going to Jordan. We decided to stay at Intercontinental Jordan. we booked 2 rooms and stayed for 4 nights. No problem during check in until 3rd night of our stay. The problem came up on our 4th night. When we arrived back at the hotel around 5pm, we smell something not nice on our floor (it was like a painting process or something like that). At first we think maybe the smell only on the corridor. when we reach our room, the smell was in our room also. First, we called housekeeping and their answer will check on it. after 1hour waiting, the smell going strong in our room and we was difficult to breath until we have to open our window (and you know it was freezing outside). We called again, and to front desk this time because no response from housekeeping. And one of the guy from front desk who answered our call said "sorry sir, that's not my duty to check on that. i will call somebody to check" What kind of answer is that?
There was no resolution, so we have to accept the condition that time because we have to leave early morning the next day.
other than the smell incident, everything went well as we hope from Intercon hotel.

I was just on transit using this hotel, but still it was very nice. I share the view of others that the Lebanese restaurant is really worth testing. The Wifi was reliable and the staff was very competent arranging my transportation

I stayed with some of my colleages at the InterCon for about a week in October 2010 and was not as we expected. At first as I walked to get my room, I was surprised that they got two towers and staff at the reception were tricky so they wont tell u that one of the towers is old aged and needs real remodeling till I figured this out and had to go down again and get moved to the newer tower, besides that rooms were full of dust, it seemed that the housekeeping was OK with it. The real night mare was at late night when one guest and his family were all running and shouting at night and the security personnel would do less, it seemed he was one of Gulf families who paid his way so no one would bother him and least I tried to get a massage the last night I was there, made reservation at 7 and as I went there it was full, so the girl wont just apologize, she calls a stand by Russian Physical therapist and would expect me to take a massage in hallway at the women changing rooms, so I stood up and refused to take and as I was walking out, still the receptionist kept on forcing me to take a massage and offered me a 20 % discount as if the 10 JOD would pay for my time and the extra two hours I have to wait. Honestly I felt to rate it as one star but compared to Hotels in Amman they consider it as 5 stars but compared to Hotels in the West I can say this Hotel would be a Shame to call it the InterCon.

Room Tip: Rooms in the New Tower don't be fooled.

Stayed in March 2012 ona VJV holiday. When we arrived our room was in the sun with the curtains wide open with the aircon switched off, and was over 40 degrees. It took several hours to cool down to an acceptable temperature. However, this was the only problem we had. The hotel is pretty good for a city-style hotel, with a smallish but secluded pool/patio area and it's located in a reasonably quiet area but asway from the main city centre.
Restaurants are very good standard at dinner and breakfast, with a wide choice of local and international cuisine and there is a good sports bar. We had to leave very early in the morning but our luggage was collected ok and a reasonable packed breakfast was provided.
One bonus was that there was a local wedding reception one evening and we ended up being invited in by the bride's father - such friendly people and, boy, can they enjoy themselves!
