It´s nice to see something from the history. When you know the story of the seven sleepers it´s nice to see and imagine where it took place. It´s a little bit outside the city, so from the Citadelle it´s a half an hour drive...

The story about seven sleepers as mention in the quran surah al kahf is alive here. You can see inside their graves and also their bones. Visit there in the morning much better as you will also see hownthe light come into the cave as its also there when they were inside and slept here.
A man who keep the key of the cave, he told you some story and he was sell some dvd about the story and amman muslim tourist object too.
I also pray in the mosque near the cave, the mosque its beautiful and clean too.

“Worth the Trip”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

We read about Ahl Al Kahf as a religious site mentioned in the Holy Book. So, we hired a round trip taxi from the old city. On arriving there at 1:30 PM we found the cave to be locked with about 4-5 other families wandering outside it. We found the caretaker who told us that it is closed from 12:30 - 4:00 PM which we did not know. He was kind enough to open it for us and the other tourists. He gave a short briefing first in Arabic and then in English. It has religious significance, so if you miss it, it will not be a big deal for non-muslims.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

This place is really amazing, especially if you are familiar with the story of the seven sleepers. There are some ruins on top of the cave which used to be a place of worship. Inside the cave, there are the graves of the seven people. There are even some inscriptions on stone. The guide gave a wonderful explanation in Arabic. I'm not sure if he is fluent in English so that is one thing to keep in mind if you don't speak Arabic!
