“Rainbow Street”

Downtown is a must visit. It is also known as the 1st circle. It is the start of the road that you go and barter for your goods with many bargains to be found.

“Youth destination on Friday and Saturday night”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

The place buzzes on the Muslim weekend - which is Friday and Saturday night. If you don't like crowds - avoid. The eateries are very mixed but some good restaurants up the side streets.

“Heaven to Hell”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This used to be the best place to be when it was first renovated, but then it began to attract so much trash that I cannot bear it anymore. It still has some good shops, restaurants, and cafes, but walking in the street was my preference and I just cannot do that anymore.

My advice is to go there at least once, walk up and down the street starting at 1st Circle (Roundabout) and going all the way down to La Calle and don't miss the view from JARA Square.

On the other hand, if you go on Fridays during Souq(Market) JARA season, that could be a nice experience INSIDE the side street where JARA is hosted.

For burgers, get Angus Burger from FireFly for sure!
Enjoy!

“A normal high street with a strong western influence”
Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

For tourists this will be just a normal high street lined with cafes and restaurants with a heavy western influence. We didn't find this that interesting although we did stop at one of the cafes for a shisha as we were there.

A lot of cars try to pass through so it does get jammed. Best not to be stuck in a taxi.

“Not What Its Cracked Up To Be”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Just a tiny little street meandering uphill to no destination, really. Its just a group of little uninteresting restaurants and sheesha spots. Probably geared for those under 25. Nothing to see if you ask me.
