A nice ambience, relatively small and cozy.
The menu is not very big, but very focused on local food - food is simply excellent !

Nice restaurant with good traditional Jordanian food. The fresh bread was outstanding. They have a jar of olives at the table which was delicious as well

beautiful restaurant with variety of jordanian dishes, all cooked to perfection. if you are looking to expand beyond falafel/shwarma, this is a great place to do so. the non-smoking area has a wonderful view of the courtyard.

I've been to Sufra twice in recent weeks and everything has been delicious save one dish, which had woefully overcooked chicken and was a bit boring (dish of the day on Sundays). Everything else has been great -- seasonings, intensity, variety, execution.

Foreigners will find many dishes unavailable in many other eateries featuring regional cuisine, and better versions of a few they'll likely already be familiar with -- savory pastries and kibbeh, in particular.

The atmosphere is quite lovely, as well, with what looks to be the original flooring of a stately family home, and a modern, matte gray on the walls that showcases well-chosen decorations throughout. Views in nearly all directions look onto greenery all year round and in warmer months there is balcony seating and a garden terrace.

The staff is good and interior is kept nice and warm in winter.

I think Sufra is a must-visit eatery on a trip to Amman, and any expat who lives here for a period of time owes it to themselves to give it a shot. It's an institution, and rightfully so. Having said that, I think one is better off ordering small plates and avoiding the dishes of the day, which aren't as exciting and, with a good order of plates to share, are, in my opinion, somewhat superfluous.
