My adviice, check the old place in downtown first..!
Amazing,
You will compare service, display, and taste to five stars fancy restaurants while you'll be sitting in on of the oldest bars and restaurants in the middle east.
Please ask for:
BBQ Garlic.
Zaghaleel
Sawani liver
Nkha'at al Fahem..

Alcohol is served simply and nicely.

I am now a fan of this restaurant..

This is restaurant hidden behind 3rd circle in Jabal Amman. Interior nothing special, but food is really great. Wine list short, but at least local and imported wines available. Service was very good. Cold and hot mezze were very good, chicken liver was really good. For a main course we had shish, meanced meat with vegetables and it was one of the best I ever had.

When you enter the restaurant, you think it's an expensive fine-dining restaurant. However, the prices are certainly low for what you get. Especially the mezzes were great: we had humus, baba ganoush. Bread is baked freshly and comes right out of the oven. Atmosphere is very nice and the toilets were simply beautiful. One point of critique: we didn't like the staff refilling our drinks every time. They keep coming to your table to arrange your dish, etc. This is done to help you but makes you feel a bit childish...
But, certainly a recommended restaurant in a nice neighbourhood!

We just came back from a 10 day trip to Jordan and we dined at this restaurant on our 2nd night in Amman. It was recommended by our private driver. It is walking distance from the hotel we were staying at, the Grand Hyatt.

We were lucky to be there during Ramadan because they had, only that night, a special buffet, with over 15-16 different mezze, soup, vegetables, rice, meats, poultry, desserts, etc. Really excellent. Worth dining here for excellent Jordanian, Lebanese and Middle Eastern cuisine. It was filled with many locals, which is usually a good sign. Quite reasonable prices!!!! Highly recommend it.
