My wife and I visited Tel Aviv from northern Israel and ate at Amore Mio based on recommendations from friends. We really enjoyed the food, I ate the vodka sauce penne and my wife had gnocchi, we also had wine, and the dessert was great too. The waiters and managers are very nice, we enjoyed this place and will come back next time!

Thank Moshe F

It is a Italian Restaurant near the municipality of Tel-Aviv
The courses are tasty, the service is very good, the place is a bit noisy but the food compensates it.
I recommend this place

After hearing so much about this restaurant and especially on the unique “tasting” meal they have I decide to celebrate a happy occasion there.
There are 2 options ( with/without meat) for the deal but everyone on the table must order it so be prepared because it’s not cheap.
The idea is that they give you a smaller portion of their dishes so you can taste a huge verity of their food.
the BIG problem is that everything is very tasty – so you must come hungry

This is review is here to help all those tourists coming through Tel-Aviv.
I used to have another (raving) five-star review of “Amore Mio” on TripAdvisor. I decided to go through the trouble of deleting and reposting, because the previous one does not reflect my view anymore.
On the positive side, Amore Mio’s food is good old fashion fatty Italian food. It is good, if this is the category you are interested in. I live in Tel-Aviv and used to eat there regularly, because the service is very good; there is a relatively good selection of dishes, and most important of all it has gluten free pasta. It also has a great atmosphere, it is a noisy, cozy, and homey place. The strange décor is great: on the walls there is a myriad of tacky tourist-y souvenirs from all over Italy (with a larger representation of Rome and Sicily), and the background playlist includes Italian language re-makes to popular American music from the 70s, 80s and 90s, with an odd Neapolitan song or Italian pop thrown in.
However, and there is a big however here, the negative side has become quite substantial. The food you will eat there is the equivalent of a good working class Italian restaurant in Italy. It is not a chef restaurant, yet the current prices do not reflected that.
My original raving review was fair and accurate back then, but the prices in Amore Mio have steadily risen since. Paying about 90 NIS for the lunch special (including the drink and tip) is not cheap in Tel-Avivian lunch standards. In fact, it is outrageous when one considers that the Italian restaurant on the other side of the square (“Gusto”) – which food-wise is truly far superior - actually asks for far less during the lunch special timeframe, and it becomes outright ridiculous, when one considers that much of menu on the haute-cuisine French restaurant (“Brasserie”) - on the same side of the square a couple of blocks south - actually costs LESS during lunchtime! You could actually eat fish, pasta or meat, with gratin and wine – made by a chef! – for less money…
Amore Mio’s prices have become bloated, and food starts tasting less good when you realize you are being ripped off. Amore Mio has built a reputation for simple cheap Italian food, but this is no longer the case. Its regular clientele has yet to notice, and poor tourists have no way of knowing what’s around the block – especially with the (old) raving reviews remaining on this site…

If you like sausages, try the pasta called “zio Giovanni”, if you like creamy sauces try “zia Giulia”, if you just want a meaty tomato sauce with chicken that is to die for, try “zio Sabatino”.
The luncheon menu is very reasonably priced, and includes a drink, first course and main course, but even in the evening the menu is very reasonable compared with Tel-Aviv prices.
Gluten Intolerant people will love this place, as practically all pastas are available in (delicious) Gluten-free format, just ask the waiter, they all know what celiac is.
Make sure to make reservations in the evenings, as this is a popular restaurant.

Had dinner there with my wife and another couple.
The restaurant itself is very homey, it's really designed as a family Italia restaurant and give's a great atmosphere.

Everything the 4 of us ordered was just amazing and done perfectly.

I strongly suggest this place if you are in Tel Aviv and looking for an Italian place.
