“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2013

The menu was a challenge. we didn't expect kosher but we do not eat anything that is not kosher. Virtually every dish seemed designed to be non-kosher, prawns, The food was OK., not more. The prices were high and we felt, poor value.

“An excellent find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2013

Thuis was our third visit. My husband found some of the choices not to his taste on the first visit, because the sauces had cheese and/or cream in them, but I enjoyed all 3 of the meals. Tonight we had both a small dish of artichokes - and it was very small, followed by a delicious fish with vegetables. The place was full of locals - always a good sign.

“Best Italian restaurant in israel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

Although we got a table in the covered patio and the menu is quite limited, the food and service are amazing.Real Italian food which you can hardly find in other restaurants.
We brought our own Israel wine and they only charge 35 shekels for wine corking Very fair.Prices very reasonable.

“very very tasty food and wonderful service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

We stood on Ben Yehuda street trying to decide where to eat. Mel or across the road at Sheila.
Sheila was overcrowded with people standing outside, so we chose Mel...
we were not one bit sorry.
Although traditional classic food is not really my thing, I really enjoyed everything they served.
starting with the excellent toasted raisin olive oil bread through tortellini and the papedrale and the desserts everything was tasty. our waitress was lovely. she was familiar with dishes on the menus' fast and efficient without being pushy. the atmosphere, décor and food are just like an Italian local trattoria.

“Really, one of the best places in Tel Aviv”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

We came yesterday for the fourth time during last year at Mel and Michelle.
Reserving a table by the window we had a wonderful view on lively Ben Jehuda str. while enjoying the elegant , cool and quiet interior of the restaurant.
The service is attentive, responding and fast.
The food is Italian oriented with personal and innovative interpretations , all in house hand made and cooked to perfection.
The atmosphere is pleasant, romantic and reminding of a good french restaurant. The music is adequated and all together amount to a wonderful evening well above most places in Tel Aviv.
Wonerful and worth every shekel.
Tip : Don't miss their heavenly Parisian gnocchi or the Caprese scallops salad.
