My wife and I, along with our 2 year old son, visited Tel Aviv recently for 8 days. We ate out every night, taking recommendations from the concierge at the hotel.
Of all the placed we tried, this is the one we returned to on our last night of our holiday. We really enjoyed it so much. It was just what we wanted.
The atmosphere is relaxed, warm, friendly and unpretentious. It does get a little cramped in there if busy but it feels right in the place and they deserve to be busy.
The food is excellent... the menu is not particularly extensive but you wouldn't expect it to be in a restaurant serving good, real food. There will be something on there for your taste and all of it is excellent - we loved every dish we had. The baked cheesecake is for everyone. We weren't able to manage a dessert after either meal but the last visit we had to request a baked cheesecake to take away and I wish we'd bought 5.
The staff we liked very much. I see a previous reviewer complained about the staff here. I have to say, service in general in Israel is not necessarily what a lot of Americans/Brits (in particular) like. That's a cultural thing, everywhere. But we found in this restaurant the staff were really lovely and friendly. Offering good advice on food, attentive service and a positive attitude.
The prices are very reasonable.
Wish we could go back tonight again but alas we're back in Blighty. Will definitely head straight there when we're back in Tel Aviv. To the establishment - thank you for the superb food, and for being so welcoming to my wife, my baby, and me.
