Description: Café Noir is a long-established bistro in the heart of Tel Aviv's city, strategically placed between the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and Rothschild Boulevard. It's considered aninstitution by Tel Avivians, and our regular customers are business and media people, artists and in fact anyone who appreciates a terrific atmosphere and good food.Cafe Noir extends over two levels, offering a choiceof intimate sitting areas and spacious seating that's equally suitable for businessmeetings or family celebration. The décor comprises dark wood furniture in classicstyle, a spacious and inviting bar, with oil paintings on the walls and art objects arranged on surrounding shelves. Soft lighting effects create the perfect dining atmosphere. On fine days we have outside seating so guests can watch the bustling life on the streets of Tel - Aviv.Café Noir is busy throughout the day and until the small hours – some enjoying a hearty breakfast, others dropping in for a business meeting, and later evening drinks at thebar. We offer a rich menu – such as our lunchtime starter of liver pate with pear confit, sirloin Carpaccio, and chilli shrimps. For main courses, it's a tough decision choosing between our renowned Café Noir schnitzels - chicken breast, pork, or milk-fed veal - and the meat dishes, lamb kebabs, hamburgers, entrecote. Fish, salads and seafood are always reliable options.

We made reservations for lunch on Saturday at 1215, we arrived on time but the waiter and the manager insisted that they serve only breakfast since the, lunch starts only at 1245. At no point of time they indicated that lunch couldn’t be served at noon. The manger was not flexible and had a very “snobbish” attitude. I really do not care how good their food is, they should be abler to accommodate their guests from out of town. We left and went to eat at Sofia restaurant, a Bulgarian place, it was Great, food was fresh and excellent and the service was accommodating.

Our final dinner at Cafe Noir was a huge success and a great way to end a wonderful trip. The food was, quite simply, amazing; we ordered a wide variety and enjoyed every dish served. I had pasts with shrimp and vegetables, the pepper notes were perfect, bold flavor but the dish was not overpowered. The shrimps and vegetables were each done to perfection. My companions had parpadelle pasta (again done perfectly) with livers, which was outstanding, well seasoned and cooked correctly. The sauce of that dish was tasty and suitably thick without going over the edge. The appetizers were excellent. The child in our group is a very finicky eater and pronounced her burger "perfect", high praise from the kid who reordered every meal. Desert was too much to contemplate, but based on the meal, we forced ourselves. Do yourself a favor and have the banana torte.

Overall, the atmosphere is great, very relaxed, the wait staff is outstanding and makes one very comfortable, but its the food that will make me fly across the Atlantic to eat here again. This is what good food is all about - good flavors, excellent balance, perfect combinations and each ingredient cooked to the correct state.

The schnitzel are excellent, the salad and the soup as well. The service was perfect.
We had a very good dinner however the AC was too high and we were a little bit freezing.

Cafe Noir has the neighborhood cafe atmosphere but it is definitely serving the whole city and surroundings and worth the visit. The food is varied and tasty and breakfasts are excellent, especially the egg cocote. The prices are a bit high but are not expensive. The service is friendly and efficient.
