Just make one thing clear.. We generally do not need any luxurious surroundings - just a clean room and bed to sleep. Thats why we decided to go to Eden. We stayed one night in the guesthouse room nr 30. To be honest, this was the worst place during our entire trip through Israel. Eventhough the first impression was ok, the location turned out to be horrible. Just a few points..:

The room had the look and feel of a cellar. Only one window with a small terrace, no view no breeze.. The aircon was dirty from inside so we switched it off immediately. The bathroom cannot be called a bathroom, it was a kind of too small, mouldy, humid place without window and without shower (the shower head was over the toilet, which is okay as long it works) but even the holder for the shower head did not exist any more..Not enough warm water for two people, after taking a cold shower everything was wet (who wonders) but no way to dry it. Our whole room seriously took over the humid air and mouldy smell of the bathroom. In the morning even our clothes had taken over the mouldy smell. What else? You can hear everything of your neighbours..hardly possible to sleep.

Usually we would have left the room, complained etc. but as it was saturday evening and we had a very early flight, we took a couple of glasses of wine and stayed. This place was not even worth a dollar! Maybe even bad for your health if allergic to mould. Just see the pix! @ eden house: do something!

Shalom dear friend !
I would like to thank you for your review. As a hotel, we are always open for any criticism, and it is of the highest value for us to receive any feedback from our guests, so we can preserve our strengths and improve accordingly.
The noted problem is a known regional and seasonal issue which is dealt with on a yearly basis.
After a humid season in Tel-Aviv, it is a common problem in the city and occasionally we are aware of this issue from our guests.
Should this matter was presented to us on that moment, we would gladly offer alternatives which we always have to offer our guests.
We would be happy to have you as our guest once again, to make sure you have a compensating experience with us.
Thank you once again for your review !

Spent one night with one wife. Dinner was superb and a good value for money for the hotel guests. Staff was very helpful (helped my wife organize a surprise party for me). Hotel staff suggested we'll take our time with the checkout because the room wasn't booked after us ! Only down side was that Ac wan't working (but we didn't need it - weather was great) and Door lock was half broken - but we managed to overcome that as well.

Room Tip: Ask the staff for anything - they will help out

Eden House is located near the old jemenite quarter and just 2 blocks away from carmel market. It is also a 5 minute walk to the beach. Eden house has a central hotel building but quite a few rooms are spread out in other buidlings in the surrounding blocks. The room was very basic but it had all you need. A comfortable bed, a good working shower. The area is quite laid back and not very noisy at night. It has a few cheap but good eateries in the direct surrounding of the hotel. Hotel has an atmospheric restaurant with a cheap breakfast offer for guests. What I would point out is the exceptional friendly staff. They organise transportation, tours and are willing to help you out whatever interest you might have. All with a smile and a good sence of humor. I would stay again next time in Tel Aviv.

We just want to stay for one night but it was really nice.
Service at the waiting desk was absolutly friendly, seemed they can read my mind.
Rooms we´re nice and clean.
Breakfast and the athmosphere at the morning was amazing. It was simply just Israel.
Would do it again.

Me and my friends rented two rooms for two days. Both were spacious and clean, more like little apartments with kitchenette and were made up every day. They were not in the same building as the guesthouse but very close in a quiet cosy almost pedestrian street. The location is superb, everything you would want to do in Tel Aviv (swim, sunbath, shop, get fun) is in walking distance yet the house is hidden from the frenzy buzz of the city. The staff was very friendly and helped us with every information we needed. I would reccomend it to my friends without hesitation.
