“Nice to be near beach”
Reviewed May 26, 2012

The apartment unit is in a great location. Restaurants, souvenir shops, beauty shops and bridal gown shops :) everywhere.

Was a little put off at the start when we arrived about 4:PM on a Friday. We were fully exhausted and eager to get off our feet before grabbing a bite to eat. No one in the office but an envelope was taped to the door with our room key and print out for rules/regulations. It took awhile to find the room and make sure we were in the right building only to discover the door was open, the room was a total mess and someone's luggage was still there. No one to talk to in the office but managed to find a worker who made arrangements to have our room ready within 30 minutes. Room was very small but adequate.

To the hotel's credit they did permit us on our final day to leave our luggage with them since we didn't leave for airport till about 5 hours after official check out.

So all worked out OK but we were concerned about the lack of organization and preparation for our arrival when they should have known no one would be around when we arrived in case there were any issues needing to be resolved.

Best part of the stay was we were able to take a 5-minute walk to the beach & port and then a one-hour walk along the boardwalk to Jaffa. Plenty of places to eat, rest or swim along the beach walk. Very pleasurable though next time we'll probably choose a hotel where someone man's the front desk after 4:PM on Fridays.

Room Tip: Make sure someone will there when you arrive. Not a very pleasant experience to find a note attached...

There are two buildings for the Ben Yehuda Apartments in Tel Aviv, I stayed in what I think is the lesser one, in Feb. 2012. It had a living room (few stains on the sofa, flat screen tv and small kitchenette) bedroom (queen size bed, window, lots of closet space, laminate/wood floors throughout and another flat screen tv) and a bathroom which wasn't great - shower curtain on a wire instead of a rod, bit of an unpleasant smell. The apartment is on a main road, and it's just a few blocks from the beach...I decided on this location because I have friends on Ben Yehuda so it was very convenient. I arrived on a Saturday, which is their holy day, so there was no one there to check me in until after 3....it was fine and well priced but not luxurious...I'm sure I saw a glass shower in the pics on the website so that must have been in the other building (unless I'm mistaken)...overall it was fine.

Room Tip: See if you can be in the building on the right.

Fantastic location, this is probably the best part of this place. Great for families as the larger apartments are indeed large and can easily accommodate 6-8 people without a problem, especially the two bedroom penthouse, the only major drawback is that the apartment themselves are rather run down and are in dire need to updating - from leaking ceilings to smelly toilets, not that they were not clean, it was the plumbing. However if these things don't bother you too much then I would highly recommend, based on location, price and size alone. This you cannot beat. We've been here with the family on three separate occasions and given the fact that we are five, this is the perfect place. Certainly no where near five stars, but it does suit our needs.

Good location, clean, nice flat TVs and even in the bedroom. The only one minus is the extra small kitchen.

I recently stayed at this property. It was supposed to be serviced apartments. I had to constantly request basics, such as soap, toilet paper, clean towels.
The sheets were only changed twice during my 4 week's stay.
Despite that the location is good, very close to the beach, and the layout of the apartment was cozy enough, the fact that they charged on most nights $100, and $123 for weekends; I never expected to find mould growing on the walls close to the bed. I was quite shocked. I requested another room and was told, that they were fully booked.(Unfortunately I paid for the accommodation before my arrival)
Considering that their costs were above average, it was disappointing, and I would highly recommend that you inspect the room BEFORE you pay. Perhaps my room was the only one with mould growing on the wall???

Room Tip: Maybe a room that gets sunlight..ie. facing Yafo(Jaffa) port

Israel comes with a certain reputation, as do its hotels/lodging. Should you not be able to afford the very best, you may be worried - as I was - of not receiving value for money. I booked this hotel for $33 USD pppn, with some trepidation. Upon checking-in though, all those fears were unfounded.

The check-in was very pleasant with a charming reception staff member who was more than happy to tell us about the city and even let us know about a street party that was taking place later that night.

The location cannot be beat. There's a relatively cheap ($10/day) large public parking lot nearby, the beach is about a 5 minute walk away, and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.

The apartment itself that we had was clean and well maintained.

We used Tel Aviv as a base to visit places as far as Masada/The Dead Sea in the south/east, to Akko and Nimrod Fortress in the north.

Whatever you think about the foreign policies of Israel, the majority of its citizens are warm and friendly, and it has a great combination of history/culture and state of the art amenities.

Apartment was recently refurbished with modern furniture - pictures posted on their website are 100% accurate. Offered everything (apart from daily servicing) that we would've expected from a 4* hotel - at a significantly cheaper rate. Located very close to Tel Aviv's main esplanade offering a fantastic walk along the beach lined with restaurants and bars.
