This hotel is unfortunately now in a construction zone. The side of the hotel that has a sea view has a view of seven cranes that are creating a luxury condominium complex. The noise and dust are non-stop until 18:00. The hotel's decor is dated and our room's corner shower stall, which had a glass door, was too small for an adult so we showered with the door open. We asked for a 5:30 wake-up call that never came. Fortunately, we got ourselves up. The hotel staff was friendly and did pack a breakfast for us since we were leaving so early. The free parking (4 very very small spaces) was available for us but required moving of cars.

Room Tip: Look in another neighborhood if you wish to avoid the construction.

This is an old hotel the rooms need to be upgraded
When we arived we had a room with balcony and sea view, but the room was very muffy and wet. Some places the paint came off the wall.
However in the middle of the night we complained about the room
The next day, we were lucky, they immediate gave us an other room.
Lucky for us this room was free, we get the suite on the 3rd floor with a big terrace and very private, with view right on the beach and sea
The breakfast is very good you have almost everything at least 4*
But the people of the hotel!! They are amazing friendly I never met such nice hotel staff
This made up for the state of the hotel.
One minor thing for this hotel is that recently they have started to build in front of the hotel
two new buildings of 20 stories probably for the next two years.
Hopefully they have a little view left after
After all we had a very good time here

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are more quiet But if you can get it take one of the two suites on the 3rd floor

This is the second time I have stayed here and I can only say I really enjoy my stay here. The service provided are always excellent and the rooms are very clean and well decorated. The breakfast spread offered is always good and yummy and a great way to start the day. What I love about this hotel is there is complimentary tea and coffee.

Sorry to see the decline of Hotel de la Mer, Tel Aviv. We had stayed at this 'boutique' hotel about a year and a half ago and were very pleased so when we found ourselves headed to Tel Aviv again, we automatically booked a room there. The lobby and dining room were kept up well, and their Israeli breakfast was delicious. However, the room we were assigned to had mildew in the bathroom and the furnishings are ready for an update. Prior to booking the room, we were warned about noise from construction on a high rise apartment building that will ultimately block the sea view, but in the morning, it sounded like the cement mixer was in our room. But what offended me most was that I was 'rooked' by Sergei at the front desk. Apparently his modus operandi was to urge me to book a taxi thru him since it would be 'difficult' to get a taxi for that evening. And in order to book the taxi, I needed to give him 50 shekels as a 'deposit' that he would give to the taxi driver Since I needed to leave our luggage under his care for the day, I agreed. Only later did I realize that I had been scammed. I would definitely not return to this now shabby hotel where management has a dishonest employee at their front desk.

This is a small but comfortable and clean hotel with a great location.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable.
There is a nice fresh breakfast spread that is more than adequate.
The location was perfect - within walking distance to the beach, the Carmel market, and main streets such as Dizengoff and most of downtown. We even walked to the port and to Jaffo.
I would stay there again with pleasure.

We were in the begining of january 2013. Everything was very good. The staff was very friendly. The breakfest was good. The sea is in 1 minute. The Rabin Square is in 15 minutes. A lot of bus stops are close to the hotel. There is a terrace on the roof with exciting view to the sea.
