We had a delightful evening at the Rothschild Hotel Restaurant due to delicious food, professional and friendly service and a lovely ambiance. The cold beefsteak tomato bisque with seasonal fruit, roasted peppers and yogurt powder, was the perfect start to our meal, along with the delectable artisianal bread served with a jar of olive oil and sweet butter. How refreshing to see a creative vegetarian option on the menu. I chose that dish; kale and chickpeas stew with Jerusalem artichoke creme and lemon flavoured butter. WOW, is all I can say, it was so flavourful. My husband chose the drumfish or amberjack, a fillet of grilled whitefish with a scrumptious mashed potato gallette and sauteed vegetables with a Martini Bianco sauce. He pronounced it sublime. We knew the desserts had to be special as well, so we chose the apple crumble. It came in its own porcelain covered casserole (warm) with the right amount of crunch and not too sweet. For a true gastronomic experience, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
