“This Place Used to Be Better”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

I've been returning to this place again and again ever since their opening. The food is very tasty, there's a romantic vibe and the owners' presence adds a personal dimension to the whole experience. That is why my last visit this week turned out to be a disappointment. The portions seemed a bit too small, a bit too oily and a bit too expensive. In addition, the owners were gone. Obviously, they can't be there all the time, but the experience felt lacking and was less personal. Lastly, in the past the menu used to change more often, adding an experimental touch to the dining experience. Now it seems the menu is always the same, and the limited dishes available seem obvious rather than unique. Alas, I suppose this is what happens when a place earns recognition and fame.

“Excellence in a small package”
Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

We walked into what looked like a small plain neighborhood bodega. The menu was only in Hebrew, but Na'ama, the part-owner and the staff helped with translation. It was tapas a la Tel Aviv, with a series of innovative and tasty dishes. From the snapper ceviche to the lentil salad, the minced pig in challah, the polenta, the black pasta, a lovely local red wine and finally an intense but not cloying chocolate mousse and a parmigiana with figs...we could have stayed all night. By all means go, but save us a place at the table.

“unique and modest”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

for anyone whose tired of over-sophisticated and pretentious restaurants in Tel-Aviv. small, quiet, romantic, excellent service, small yet interesting choice of wines and a wonderfully executed limited menu. Been there 3 times and will definitely come back again.

“Cute wine bar with nice small menu to go with it”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

Interesting wine list, with small italian food menu to accompany the wine.
Very small and romantic place, but also nice to sit with 3-4 friends.
Usually there are also 1-2 vegan options.
