There's a boom of Asian restaurants in Tel Aviv right now and Vong is relatively one of the new players. We went there last night for the first time.
All in all, the dishes were good and interesting with fresh ingredients and exotic flavors. We asked the waitress to recommend a dish of each of the menu's sections. As promised, the fish salad and beef ban were excellent. We also had shrimp dumplings which were just OK (I still can't find dim sam in Israel of the quality I had in Asia). The main dish recommended - seafood over bean noodles with oyster sauce (their website is for some reason offline and unfortunately I can't remember the dish name) was actually a little disappointing and bland - should probably stick to my instincts next time and and get a spicier dish.
Service was good, though a little slow on the outside terrace. Despite the disappointing main dish, I would go there to check the rest of the menu - I have a feeling there's more good stuff hiding there.
