Take a walk in this area...wonderful stores and places to eat. Very safe and close to many hotels! Great taste of Tel Aviv.

What was once a run down area is now full of character. A mix of residential, shops and restaurants. Not cheap but worth the prices. The 'Railway' Station is well worth a visit.

Neve Tzedek, now a neighborhood in central Tel-Aviv, is older than Tel-Aviv itself: It was founded in 1887 by Jews who decided to move out of the stifling, crowded streets of old Jaffa. They followed the example set by Jerusalem Jews who built neighborhoods outside the Old City walls, bought some land north east of Jaffa and built their houses there.

Many of the original houses remain, and are architectural gems. The narrow streets and old houses give Neve Tzedek a distinct character, which is now coveted by many who buy the old houses, restore or rennovate them, open galleries, boutiques, cafes and restaurants and make Neve Tzedek one of the hot spots of modern Tel-Aviv.

When walking the streets of Neve Tzedek don't miss two cultural institutes: the Suzanne Dalal Dance Center, a beautiful building dedicated to excellent dance shows; and the Nahum Gutman museum, displaying works of the well known artist most assiciated with the early days of Tel-Aviv.

Not sure why this neighborhood is rated so high on Trip Advisor. It does have a great place to eat called the Dallal.
