“Green spot in the middle of Tel Aviv!”

Nice little park in the city center.
In the garden one can find the LGBT house of Tel Aviv, with a Landwer Coffee branch.

“Historic Tel Aviv Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

This historic park has gone through many different incarnations. In the 30s, it was Tel Aviv's small answer to Hyde Park -- at that time the real estate on Tschernokovsky Street facing the park was quite expensive.

Over the years, the park and the street went downhill, but in the past 10-15 years they have gone back up again, in part help by the municipality donating an old building in the park for a GLBT center. And where there are gays, there is upkeep!

The cafe in the center is owned by a vetern coffee shop chain, good local style coffee and eats, not cookie cutter Starbucks (whom we drove out of town), thank you very much. Saturday is family day and the cafe and park is overrun with the mixed bag of families that make Tel Aviv what it is.

Oh, and the complaints about the scent of dog, well, doo? Thats because one section of is the first, but now not last, dog park in Israel!

You wanna see how us locals live? Stroll around the park. It's a couple of blocks from the Dizengoff Center Mall, which is, well, just a mall.

“Beautiful trees, peaceful corner in the bustlng heart of the city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

Peace and quiet, special section for dogs to play, Huge trees, not so common in Israel. A gay-community center and cafe in one corner of the park adds an atmosphere of openness to the place. very gay-friendly in a non-blatant, matter-of-fact style.

“a smelly lung”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

good basic facilities, a green area in a built-up city, however, the paths are sandy and tend to soak up the smell of our canine friends. There is a walled oo area for them dogs, however, the smell is all over the area. A central fenced off {lots of fences here} fish pond with a few lazy turtles is a great centre-point. The kiddies'swings, climbing apparatus appears to be in good working order, even if some of the items are "dangerous" from my viewpoint. Another focal-point is a pleasant coffe-shop which sits at the entrance to a Homo-Lesbian clubhouse, making an ideal site for same-sex and heterosexual partners/families and others, on their own, to enjoy life in an open area.
