Description: Abouelafia Bakery is a very famous bakery. The Bakery Shop has become a household name and a symbol in our country under the direction of Walid Abouelafia. The original and oldest branch of this bakery is Legendary Old Jaffa, near the clock tower. The Bakery sells a variety of baked goods, including Pita Bread , Bagels, Sambusak, Egg Bagels, Pizzas and sweets such as Bklwah and Cnaphe. Surrounding the Bakery, Abouelafia also offers a very successful Meat, Fish, and Oriental food (such as schwarma) restaurant located across from the Bakery in the Clock Square - all under the same authentic and beloved brand name. The restaurant also offers various sweets such as Baklawaot, Cnaphe, Shabakiye and hot and cold beverages.

“Great "fast food"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

If you're in need of a quick bite- this is the place. Aboulafia has been there since the late 1800s and is a true staple of Yaffo! The pitas are amazing, add some shwarma, or falafel and you are set to go. Open on Saturdays.

“Great flagel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

We had just arrived in Tel Aviv when I needed wifi and we stopped to some random place that ended to be this very good bakery. While I was lloking at the mail we noticed something like a bagel so we ordered telling the guy "to do it the traditional way" so he toasted it after garnishing with tomato and cheese. Delicious.

I love in Jaffa and so have tried the Abulafia a couple of times, well more then a couple.
This place is completely overrated, they are completely overpriced and they are definitely not the best at what they do, there are many smaller bakeries nearby that are better with much tastier baked goods.
The name is what brings people to this place, but as a local I wouldn't bother.

“Nice Selection Of Freash Baked Goods While Touring Old Jaffa”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

If you happened to be traveling in Old Jaffa and on a tight budget, it is nice place to get Fresh Street Baked Food. Otherwise Do Not Waste Your TT=Touristic Time.
