“Where Israel became Israel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Seeing where Ben-Gurion, surrounded by his political confederates, announced the creation of the Jewish state (Jerusalem was under seige and not reachable) is a very moving site, maintained as it was in those days, with accompanying black-and-white photographs which address what the Zionists faced when starting with only sand dunes and subsequently building a major city. A few times a day, someone gives a talk in English, to supplement what's on display or shown in a movie. Make sure you stay for that.

“Living History”

A fantastic start to a tour of Israel with an explanation and historical discourse of the history of the Jewish State of Israel explained by a local guide. No tour of Israel is complete without a visit to Independence Hall.

“Inspiring historic site”

Always inspired to be in the place where David Ben Gurion declared statehood for Israel in 1948. Great movie as introduction to sitting in actual hall.

“History come to life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

This is where the Israeli independence declaration was signed--and where the state of Israel started. It is filled with history. The recording, though not high-tech, was actually suspenseful and exciting--one of those " you were there" experiences.

“Listen Carefully - Wonderful, meaningful”

Maybe the best one hour presentation we have ever had. The actual presentation is moving and informative. A great way to start a tour of Israel ... Tel Aviv or Jaffa.
