“Great Museum - Under Renovation in October 2012”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Unfortunately, the museum was closed on my October 2012 visit due to renovations. I have only been there with groups. Perhaps they have public tours available. It is a must see, but frankly the impact of simply seeing the building is nothing compared to a docent/educator who places the building into historical context.

“A must see!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I was on the last guided tour before the museum closed for renovations. What fascinating history. If you want to get a feel for the beginning of Israel, you cannot miss this museum. Run to this place once it reopens.

“The place Israel was born”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

Its a small museum, but the guids there are usually VERY good, so they revive the whole story in such a way that for those who are interested in the history of the region - its fasenating.

Very interesting to see where israel was declared an independent state. Be sure and listen to all the historical parts the room has played in Israel's life.

“Outdated, Irrelevant, Needs revamping”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

This is a very special place with an amazing history and I've been there at least 5 times on different trips and tours, some of which I was a participant and some I was staff. The introduction video has not been changed since the 70s and the guides usually do a poor job at illustrating the significance of the building to the new generations. If you've never been before, I think it's important to go, but I think the public needs to start giving constructive feedback to make this museum what it should be for future generations.
