The Eretz Israel Museum does have some interesting exhibits, but the museum is undergoing an entire remake. I would recommend waiting until 2015 when they have completed the renovation before visiting.

There is not a whole lot to see here, but the restaurant has really good sandwiches. Stop for lunch on your way to Bet Hatefutsoth, which contains a rich history of the Diaspora.

I found the museum lacking, and since it's out of the way, I woudn't make the trip. I think there are better places in TLV to visit.

We had a cool cloudy day and having been to Tel Aviv before we thought it was the perfect day to see Haaretz Museum. The exhibitions were informative, easy to walk through. The highlight was the archaeology area outside of the museum. The wonderful thing is that when the museum closes you can still see the outside.

The location, north of central Tel Aviv and near Tel Aviv University (with easy parking) is great for starters in making it a destination.

The museum is not one building, but a large area with smaller buildings containing the museum's collections. There are fascinating permanent exhibitions, such as the history of coins over thousands of years in Israel and fascinating temporary exhibits (two in place now are photographs by the official photographer in the 1920-30s and the story of Israel's first high school). A good web site will assist you in deciding what to see.

It is located atop a hill with an interesting view of Tel Aviv

It may not have most sophisticated techniques of presentation (so I wouldn't take young kids) but the content is wonderful.

There is a fine cafe at the entrance to the museum.
