“A family museum”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Our grandchildren were entranced with the minature temples both old and new from all over the world; the cultural aspects of the Jewish people over the ages is very asthetically displayed.

“We revisited Beit Hatfutsot (TelAviv) and enjoyed a new exhibition about Bukhara”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Beit Hatfutsot is really a unique place for us, so we just keep coming every couple of years. Last week we once again had a chance to explore the permanent exhibition, with all the wonderful synagogue miniatures.

But mostly we love the new exhibition about the Jews of Bukhara.

Our grandchildren had a great time at the "ABAGADA" gallery for children, which is like a playground with attractions and fun games about the Hebrew language.

“A very nice museum of Jewish history.”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

This is a great museum, especially if you have a Jewish ancestry in your family.
Other than the interesting exhibits about the Jewish diaspora, the museum also serves as a research center for family trees (you can enter you last name and see where your Jewish ancestors came from).
While the museum itself might be considered a tad dated, it's still a very nicely laid out museum.
highly recommended if you're into Jewish history.

“Nothing like it”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

This wonderful museum which covers the global cultures of Judaism is about to undergo a total revamp but still has much to offer now...It leaves the visitor with a taste of the rich tapestry that makes up this faith and people--what is shared and what varies from land to land where Jews live and lived. A perennial favourite is the collection of synagogue models from the world over. There is both the permanent exhibition and visiting ones to see and a good Aroma cafe located on the grounds which are situated themselves on the campus of Tel Aviv University which itself is worth a walk through when leaving the museum.
