Owner description: Tel Aviv’s biggest and busiest marketplace is filled with colorful stalls and shouting vendors selling a variety of goods, from dried fruits and exotic spices to clothing and footwear.

I have been shopping and browsing at the "shuk" since l969! It is great! Unique and has many excellent items that you can't find anywhere else--- you just have to search for them! The actual vendors are quite rude for the most part--- but they have an exhausting job! I always buy the fresh Halva and bread! It is definitely one of the highlights of the "Old Tel-Aviv" that I love so much!

To see, taste, hear and smell the real Israel, this is the best place to go! You taste anything from candy to kabob, and hear the vendors competing with their prices. The jewelry, clothing, home goods, and everything in between can be bargained for. Friday's are the busiest, but best time to see the hustle and bustle of the locals trying to buy everything they need before sundown.

I joined a local friend for his Friday morning shopping ritual and absolutely loved it! The market was crowded with shoppers buying challah, pomegranates, salty cheese, figs, fish and baklavah for the Shabbat dinner. Everyone was telling each other Shabbat shalom! and you really get into the spirit of Tel Aviv, which can seem a bit bland after Jerusalem.

If you want really to taste the medetranian fresh food, you canon miss shuk hacarmel. You can good prices and good hospitality. The people in the market are simple and want to give food from their hearts. Tel aviv is not done without a long visit to the shuk

The camel market is definitely a must see. Several blocks of every artesian you can think of and stalls of produce/spices/ and every kind of clothing and household goods. If you are looking for something and can't find it here it probably cant be found. Lots of places to eat..you can spend several hours just looking around at the stalls and the people
