“the most interesting place in Tel Aviv”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

this market is teeming with Israelis of every type, from a to z!!! it is great people watching,
but a little crowded.
i used to go to the market when i lived in Tel Aviv, in the early 70's, to buy the freshest
produce, and eat the best falafel sandwich in the city.
there is a flea market next to it, and Shenkin St. starts here also, so this is as central
as you can get in Tel Aviv. they used to call this the Yemenite market.

It is a very nice walk to get a feeling of the farmers products. Beautiful veggies and fruits, nuts and spices.

“Go early”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

Fantastic, vibrant public market that captures the Israeli spirit. Go early for best selection and maximum intensity. On an earlier visit, made the mistake of visiting at end of day when vendors were shutting down. Smelly garbage thrown into massive heaps in the center corridor. Best to avoid.

“Great experience”
Reviewed December 26, 2011

I love this Market. It has fresh fruit, breads, sweets, toiletries and clothes. You can get all the typical Israeli souvenirs plus different things. The sellers aren't prepared to haggle that much which is a shame but most things are cheap. Great fun to wander amongst the stalls and soaking up the atmosphere.
