Liked: very large, could spend several hours here. Impressionists: Renoir, Gaugin, Monet. Interesting modern exhibits; fashion exhibit. One child free with each paying adult (about 48NIS = about $13 USD).
Disliked: nothing

Independence Hall, the former Dizengoff home, was the Museum's first home for almost fifty years. In 1959 what is now known as the Helena Rubenstein Pavilion was built and the Museum moved to the other end of Rothschild Boulevard into its second home, in the Mann Center.
By the 1970's yet more room was needed, so the current Museum, with an outdoor garden, was built. It has been spectacularly eclipsed, however by its newest wing, opened in 2011. See the center atrium from all levels and look across the openings at the art on display in other portions. This is "state-of-the-art" museology.

Great architecture, atmosphere and usually the new exhibitions are very interesting, inspiring and attractive. Also children have a special room with interesting and enriching activities.

The museum is nice, sometimes it has special exhibitions worth visiting...i wouldn't say you miss anything if you dont go there, this is not the Orsay in Paris or the Metropolitan NY... but nice

whatever you're viewing, leave time to enjoy the new wing of the museum and don't be fooled by the not too impressive exterior ... indoors, from every ramp and every angle, it's wonderful. The current (Feb/Mar/April 2013) Angelina Shatz exhibit is revealingly fascinating.
