“Tel Aviv museum”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

Recently, a new modern building was added to Tel Aviv museum, which I truly like more than a new building of MOMA. Tel Aviv museum is comfortable, spacey, and welcoming. The permanent collection has a few very remarkable works but especially this museum is known for its interesting expositions. On my last visit there were 3 extraordinary expositions.

“For art lovers and for kids”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

If you're not into art, you can skip it with a clean conscience. But if you're even a little in love with painting and sculpture, go! The museum's permanent collection is strong on French impressionists, there are few excellent Picassos, and a superb large Roy Lichtenstein mural in the entrance hall (quite possibly the most valuable piece of art in the country. The collection of Israeli art is good. Temporary exhibitions are quite contemporary. The architecture of the new wing is a matter of taste. The children's activity room houses changing exhibits related to art, almost always with lots of buttons to push and wheels to spin (not just paper and crayons).

Spent hours at the museum. The standard of the regular art and the exhibitions were amazing. Loved the new museum.

“Variety of art forms in smart packaging”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

This museum contains good selection of Modern Israeli Art. The temporary exhibitions are well curated and interesting. The sections containing Western European Art are rather small.
Architecture of new wing is outstanding and the old wing is very interesting.
Musical performances and art films screenings take place in the Auditorium.
Nice coffee shop is located at the premises and extensive children development program is in place.

“The best art museum in Israel”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

While the Israel museum in Jerusalem hogs all the glory and publicity, its TA sister is a much better focused and well defined museum. While the new extension is quite spectacular, it is the old wing which is the real jewel. The permanent collection is no more than adequate by european standards, but the temporary exhibitions are ofter first class.
