“Great location & breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. The accommodations were comfortable enough (nice pillows!) but the breakfast was outstanding. A great selection and wonderful top floor seating area overlooking the mediterranean. The ocean is just outside the door with free towels on your way out the door and easy access to a great beach, kadima, volleyball and lots of restaurants. The staff were helpful, especially in arranging a taxi to the airport for a fixed rate. There's also a small business lounge with fruit, computers and an easy espresso machine. We had a room without a view but a decent kitchen and ate in sometimes from the local market.
Still, I think our favorite was sitting up in the restaurant, sipping our our cappucinos and writing in our journals.

Room Tip: Our room had a decent kitchen without a view.

Even the smallest suite is more spacious than an ordinary hotel room, with a bedroom which has good dresser and closet space,a functional kitchenette,a pleasantly designed living room and an ample bathroom. However, being elderly, my husband and I opted for the superior executive suite which has all that plus two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We couldn't have been more comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is an amazing buffet, with the option of ordering omelets or lattes from the friendly waiters, all complimentary. The panoramic view of the beach is extraordinary and it is easily accessible. The rooms are spotless, the staff is kind and helpful and you can walk to Dizengoff Street. We look forward to returning here.

My wife and I just spent 10 days at the Alexander Hotel. From the minute we arrived we had a great experience at this hotel. We were met by an extremely helpful and friendly bellman and a very nice and very helpful front desk person by the name of Gaby. Our one bedroom suite was very spacious and well furnished with a great view of the beach and the water. We also found the hotel to be a great value at under $300 per night given the great breakfast that was included and it's great location near the port district. The bed and couch were very comfortable, the maid service was great and we felt we were always well taken care of. Although we did not have our children with us we thought this would be a great hotel for kids as well given it's proximity to the beach and the boardwalk running along the beach. Although there is no pool, the proximity to a nice beach makes up for this. The top floor restaurant was very comfortable and a great place to go for breakfast. The business center and gym were also excellent.

Room Tip: We thought the odd numbered rooms in the 509 to 513 range and 609 to 613 range were great rooms bec...

We were a group of 6: my wife and I, her parents and two kids aged 8 and 11 years old.
We took a two-bedroom unit on the third floor.
The room was great - very comfortable for everyone.
The location is also very nice. You are half a block from a very nice beach, just at the south end of the port which is full of restaurants and nightlife.
Check in/out was smooth.
One stand-out at this property is the rooftop breakfast. Fantastic views of Tel Aviv and the sea.
Highly recommended

Me, my family and some close friends all stayed at the Alexander. The location is perfect, right on the beach near the trendy port area. The rooms are very large, especially by Tel Aviv standards with very stylish decorations. The showers are amazing! We all commented on them. My wife an I agreed that the complimentary breakfast was excellent. All on all, as my son reported... five stars!

Recently spent a week at the hotel/apartments great location virtually on the beach and close to everything .Accommodation excellent spacious and well appointed. Gallit and team were really helpful and personal. A much better deal than the big hotel vibe much more than just a room . Rate includes great breakfasts , beds you want to sleep in , everything the business and holiday traveller requires and Nesspresso machines in every room - fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. Check the website for the apartments ,penthouse and spacious rooms for singles - we had a 2 bedroom suite with separate lounge kitchenette and separate lounge bathroom and additional toilet .
Rate per day compares favourably
We highly recommended will definitely be back

This hotel has been undergoing a major renovation program. We took one of the new suites on the 7th floor; great view towards Jaffa and the sea; a few steps through to the dining room with a typical Israeli selection of dishes plus free order of specials from the kitchen, all served by helpful smiley young staff. Eat it al fresco on the roof terrace in the sun to get the full experience. For a small [70 room]hotel, they have a gym, business centre, free wifi and a pool and sauna are coming this winter. It's less than 1 minute's walk to the beach, three minutes to the old port of Tel Aviv. There's also some cheaper unrenovated rooms or, for something completely different, a swanky penthouse with it's own pool that takes up the entire top floor.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, renovated suite
