The location of this hotel is very good. It is close to the beach and several main streets. You can also walk to the port.

The pool area is lovely and has a wonderful view.

Breakfast is very good. Waiter staff could be a little friendlier/accommodating.

Hotel staff could be a little friendlier.

Stayed over the Easter period.
First impressions the place looks a bit scruffy and reception staff not over helpful. Had a room by the lift...very noisy and overall bedrooms ok...nothing more.
Breakfast very bland, coffee was nice, about the best I can say about it!
On the plus side location is good and pool area quite nice. Good also to see life guard on duty at all times. Overall place is pretty average at best. Cant help thinking there are better hotels for the money in Tel Aviv

The Grand Beach doesn't provide the best first impression of Israel. I think the hotel caters to tour groups. We were not impressed, but it did serve to set a baseline for the next 10 days. The location is great, very close to the beach, but the hotel acked decent views. From the one side you could see the power plant, the other you could see the city. The bathrooms were adaquate. The rooms are not as nice as the professional photo they've posted, don't be deceived. And the walls were paper thin! Luckily, for our second stay, we were at the end of the hall. Our first stay was noisey and not pleasant.

The elevator was the slowest I've ever seen and that doesn't give it credit. Factor in the Shabbat elevator and you might want to just take the stairs the 10 stories. The service was less than adaquate. At one point, there were two staff helping one family and I stood behind them for 10 minutes waiting to ask for a map. My favorite part of that experience was when a taxi driver stepped in front of me, adding 5 minutes to my wait, without the staff member bothering to tell him to wait. When I finally got served, the staffer did note, "All you needed was a map?" When we checked back in near the end of our trip, our key didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk twice (on the slow elevators). On our second trip back to the front desk, they were smart enough to send security back with us to reset the door.

The breakfast was vast, but not that good. They had a coffee machine to make lattes and cappucinos, but it wasn't on during breakfast. There were 10 types of yogurt looking cheese, with no labels. Basically, you should just take everything and see what it happens to be.

I'd have to agree with the other posts, it was not that grand and basically a motel. We were with a tour group, so I don't know the value. If this place was cheap, like 85 USD, I wouldn't be annoyed by it's quality. By the way, I paid 80 USD for a hotel at Petra and it was excellent comparatively!

We had a great stay at the Grand Beach in February 2013. My wife and I were there with a tour group of approximately 30. There were absolutely no problems and the meals in the dinning room were great and well organized to move lots of people through fast.

This is a motel. We booked this hotel because of the location, traveling on business we wanted to be within walking distance of everything we could need. Location is the only thing this place has going for it.

My room, 823: the carpet was filthy. Stains everywhere and my socks were black from walking around. Room was small, no clock and the pillows were flat. Overall just like a motel.

Breakfast was OK but nothing great, yes they have a lot of food but again nothing great.

Staff: a few people were helpful but overall I was completely dismissed every time I had an inquiry. The night I checked out I had to be in the lobby at 3 for a 6 am flight. There were teenagers running around and screaming while the night front desk staff laughed along with them.

Wireless: nonexistent and as we were traveling on business this was very frustrating.

This hotel would be so much more because of the proximity to the beach if they spruced it up and trained their staff in simple customer service.

we were looking for a decent hotel to be our base in tel aviv while we tripped around, and the grand beach was just the job, room cleaned everyday, new towels and bedding, its not fancy but thats not what we were after, the pool on the roof is only open between april and september i think, we were under the immpression it was year round but it isnt. the breakfast is rather good, too much choice if thats possible, the reception staff are very helpful, especially a young chap called "Ruddy", he really went out of his way to help, infact they all did. i would use it again and i think that speaks for its self.

I have had a chance to stay at this hotel on couple occasions, last one this February, 2013. This is just fine hotel for the purpose I needed. Good breakfast, fine clean rooms, pleasant staff willing to help someone who had no shekels early morning...Location is also fine if you are for the walk to the shore, beach. We have used hotel for one night stay when late arrival to Tel Aviv, all happy and no complaints...value and price go well along in this hotel. Yes wi-fi works fine all over hotel.
