“Very Bad”
Reviewed January 9, 2010

I had booked a studio for 2 weeks at the Home. After getting my studio, it was so filthy, infested with bugs, run down. I did not even unpack. The towels and sheets were disgusting. I moved out the next morning. I don't recommend this place.

I had the 80 $ room, but it was OK. A shower, a toilet, a large bed, a TV, a strange fridge, a small table with 2 chairs, a microwave ,a cooking plate and an air-conditioning. The room was perhaps a bit small. I was out all day long, so I needed the room as a sleeping place. I was very happy with the accomodation.
Centrally located between Ben Yehuda street and Hayarkon. Just a stones throw away from the beach. A lot of bars, supermarkets and restaurants just around the corner.
One of the cheapest places to stay in TA.
Ver friendly and helpful staff.

I had stayed at The Home in the past, and knew that the exterior rooms were very noisy, and EXPRESSLY requested an INTERIOR room, which was confirmed - otherwise, I would not have proceeded with the reservation.
However, once I got there, the manager had decided to change my reservation to a more expensive EXTERIOR room and had nothing else available. This unsolicited change resulted in a terrible night without sleep due to the noise, and the subsequent exit from the hotel, cancellation of the rest of the reservation and search for an alternative place to stay.
In addition, they did not even have the courtesy to credit for the $20 difference in the cost of a room that I DID NOT REQUEST, and kept the deposit even though the reason for the cancellation of the reservation was due to their inability to keep their commitment and confirmation.
It is a shame that the management does not care about their commitments, because the hotel, even though it is not fancy and does not have any amenities, other than free WIFI, is in a very good location, and prices are extremely good.

i traveled to tel aviv on the 7th of april from budapest, hungary with friends, i booked two rooms for me and my friends at the wonderful website of " The Home" hotel (www.thehome.co.il). we came in the morning from the airport, the lady in the reception showed us 2 rooms, they were very nice rooms, clean, fresh and nice smelling sheets, clean towels, comfortable beds. we were very pleased with the rooms that we got.
we stayed 7 night in the hotel, it's advantage that it is very closed to beach of tel aviv, very closed to Jaffa and to the main streets of tel aviv where all of the pubs, cafe shop, dance clubs are located.
there is a supermarket very closed to the hotel which opened 24 hours a day, if you like something to drink or eat in the middle of the night that's the place :)
i can recommand to all of you to come to "The Home" hotel.
the hotel is very cheap, very closed to the beach, located at best place in tel aviv, very homey, nice working stuff, clean, everyday our rooms were clean and orginize, everyday the sheets and towel were changed by new one.
me and my friends enjoyed very much in tel aviv, and we were very happy and greatful to choose to stay in The Home hotel.

i went to "the home" by a sweet recomandation from my freinds during our vacation, we decided to visit tel aviv. our goal was to be placed in the central, closed to the wonderfull beach of tel aviv (you won't find this kind of beach in world). we came to the hotel in middle of the night from a NEW YORK fiight , we were very tired and sleepy nevertheless the nice lady in the reception was very helpful and kind to show us 2 rooms for me and my wife and for our 3 children, the rooms were very nice with pictures on the wall, mini kitchen, nice bath, clean toilete. we asked the lady for extra towels, we got them immidiatly without hesitation.
in the motning we went to the sea ( 2 min) by foot, we went to Dizingof street (very close 5 min by foot),
during the day the manager of the hotel (i think that his name is Danny) kindly ask us if we are enjowing our stay, (i have never experience such kind of warmness and kindness) in the following day we traveled to the holy city, Jerusalem, the lady in the reception helped us to rent a car and suggest us some favorite historical places to visit on.
we were in the hotel for 10 days; the price i thing is very low (120 $ per night) but believe me you get much more from this price: starting from the high level and equipments of the rooms with high speed wirless internet (my childern were very happy from it) without any extra price, very clean rooms, the hotel's workers are very nice and helpful includun the manager, the best location in tel aviv 2 min from the beach 4 min from the main streets.
it was very enojoyable, i can not wait to return to "the home" next year.
i would certenly recommend this hotel for evryone who want to have fun in tel aviv, israel

this appartment hotel is one star in standard. reception staff and hallyway ok, free internet terminal there, too. as it's an appartment hotel, no meals are provided of any kind.
i stayed in 3 different rooms. none great, all very sparsely decorateed. bed linen looks a little suspicious, as if it's been washed and dried at too high a heat so bit of fluff are coming out of it. bathrooms very basic, basic kitchen facilitis : fridge, sinke, crockery, electric ring and microwave,
if you area looking for somewhere cheap, basic and in a good locatiaon, very close to the beath, this is ok.
if you are on honeymoon, with kids or looking for some luxury this is no good,
the mini studio (size A) is fine for a single person. rooms also have pin coded safes, and cable tv with BBC world and sky news.

This hotel was nothing like the website promises.
Having arrived very late at night and seeing how dirty it was we wanted to leave right away. The staff said we can't leave and we have to pay the three nights we booked and there was no refund. Next day when we asked the reception they said that this was their policy because it was appartments. So there was no choice to leave and go to a decend hotel. The elevator and entrance was dirty, the wall in the rooms were falling apart and the bathroom in the delux appartment was so tiny with a window that couldn't close.
After all this the woman in the reception got very angry with us and told us off when we asked to separate our beds (they had the two beds put together as a double bed with one sheet). We had to make our own beds in the middle of the night after she gave us two separate sheets.
