“Club Level rooms are great, others not so much...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2012

I have stayed at this Sheraton hotel seven or eight times now, and have been lucky enough to be upgraded to a club level room on 3 occasions. The club level rooms and bathrooms are very well appointed, especially for Israel. The other rooms and especially the bathrooms are truly worn and old looking. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is perfect. I would only recommend this hotel if you are upgraded or choose to pay for a club level room.

Room Tip: Book the club level rooms whenever possible.

Dear KK,
We are delighted to hear that you had an enjoyable experience at our club level along with its room features.
The Club is also popular for its club lounge located on the 7th floor overlooking the blue Mediterranean.
Club Lounge offers two separate internet stations, reception check in desk, complimentary breakfast, all day snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres and a variety of beverage options. Guests can connect with friends, meet with their team or simply relax by catching their favorite TV show.
Most of the rooms in the hotel have been newly renovated, and we are constantly collecting feedbacks for our future renovations.
We are pleased to share your kind compliments with our staff and look forward to welcoming you back.
Yours sincerely,
Jane Yacoubzadi

Located right on the beach in the North End of Tel Aviv. The rooms where well made up and where of average size. The service was excellent and any request was fulfilled. We did not spend much time in the hotel but when we did we where happy. We had Milkshakes at the bar which the kids loved and ate one night at the Olive Leaf, it was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

This is one of 2 hotels I can highly recommend in Tel Aviv off of the beach - the other being the Intertcontental. Both are excellent hotels - the rooms are more up to date and better appointed @ the Sheraton, the lobby and overall property of the intercontinental are nicer. Staff @ the Sheration was very helpful. My experience with room service was also positive. Recommend a room with a view of the Mediterranean.
Only negative is a bizarely narrow and old elevator from the Sheraton parking garage up to the the entrance of the hotel

There was nothing to complain about our spacious Tower room with a fabulous view over the Mediterranean and parts of the city. However, the hotel does need a face-lift to bring it back to its former glory.
Truly outstanding is the service. The well trained staff is quite helpful, and reacts promptly and courteously to complaints or occurrences.
The Sheraton's breakfast still is one of the best in town - and we can compare it to several other 5 star hotels there. The Olive Tree restaurant is very worth a visit, being considered one of the very best kosher eateries in the city.

Room Tip: Make sure you book a room with the fullest possible sea view.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2012

We stayed in 2009 at the Sheraton and decided to return for Xmas and New Year 2011. We stayed 8 days and booked Tower rooms which are near the top of the building, are relatively quiet (they were) and gains access into the Executive Lounge where Israeli breakfast (usually equivalent to a 'brunch') is provided as well as tea and a light supper, drinks and snacks so can save quite a lot of money on 'extras' . However the executive lounge is on the 18th Floor and we were on the 16th so each time we wanted to go to the lounge we needed to take the lift or use a concreted and dingy service stairwell. Also there seemed to be an enormous number of guests from other floors who seemed to be using the facilities and the staff didnt always check anyone there so the room was sometimes quite crowded. Finally the quality of the breakfast (usually superb but sadly not here) and 'presentations' was relatively poor compared to what we experienced at other Hotels offering a similiar service. As for the bedrooms, well these are frankly too small for the price, especially the bathroom which was in urgent need of refurbishment. When we arrived the shower was hanging limply from its rail and we had to call the engineer to fix this. The toilet seat was a different colour to the WC and bath (peach would you believe), the sink plug didnt fit the white basin (again this was fixed but why hadnt this been noticed by the chambermaid who serviced our room prior to arrival ?). The bathroom is so small that there isnt a seperate shower (this in in the bath) and only one basin. Two people couldnt get ready in it at the same time. Overall the bedroom and bathrooms are tired and shouldn't be sold as 'executive' rooms. Finally ,each night we had to request they replenish the towels (these were always extremely thin and old) as they never seemed to do this at 'turn down'. Apart from all the faults the Hotel is in a good position midway down a long promenade that stretches from Jaffa to the Tel Aviv port and with an extensive beach across a busy road but there should have be a tunnel or bridge to go from the Hotel to the Beach. The pool area is bleak and above the entrance foyer. I never saw anyone use the pool or sit by it. Overall this Hotel is well located and most of the staff are pleasant. However the Hotel is 'tired' and need work on the bed and bath rooms as well as improving the quality of the food offerings, otherwise with new hotels being built nearby they will suffer as a result in the future.

Room Tip: High Floors are quiet

Dear Masterspy:
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments on Trip Advisor. We reviewed your comments regarding your stay at the Sheraton Tel Aviv, and would like to sincerely apologize for the service shortcomings you encountered during you stay, as well as the bathroom shower which needed fixing.
I have passed on your breakfast comments to our chef and F&B Manager who will work to improve the presentation and quality of the breakfast in the Towers Lounge.
We apologize for the crowded Towers Lounge and the inconvenience you experienced. The Club Lounge was closed due to repairs, and as a one time exception the Club guests were invited to use the Towers lounge until the Club Lounge was reopened.

As a management team, we take all comments seriously and share them with our staff, so we may resolve such issues.
Again, thank you for the comments, which will help us in our ongoing efforts to improve our service.
Yours sincerely,
Jane Yacoubzadi

I got an SPG Platinum upgrade to an end suite on a high Club floor each of the four times I've stayed here so nice bonus there. This hotel has a great Club Floor Reception Room (w/ a nice view) with light snacks available seemingly whenever you want and soft and select alcoholic drinks, all free for either a Platinum member or for guests staying in a Club room. Great attentive service from the hotel staff. Room service was not particularly good as far as quality, selection, and availability. Some food not available on Friday Shabbat. The concierge can get you reliable and reasonably priced private transportation for touring. This is the best way to tour this country with so many things to see.

Room Tip: All rooms, except for a few on one side on the lower floors, have great Mediterranean views. Of cou...

This Hotel is okay for Israel, the only drawback is the price.
I have stayed at around 20 Sheraton Hotels throughout Asia and this one is the most expensive. It does not even come close to the Sheratons in China, Bangkok, Vietnam etc. yet is double the price. You are paying 270+ USD per night for what is really a 3 star hotel on par with a Four Points in North America. why Starwood considers this a category 5 and 12,000 award points for a free night is beyond me.
The only reason I stay here is that it is the only Starwood property in Central Israel.
