We have just returned from 3 nights in Herods Tel-aviv. We stayed in room 1207 (12 floor) which was recently renovated and very nicely decorated. It was a good size room with bright colours, full of light, with beautiful views on Tel-aviv and the Marina. The bathroom, however, was tiny, although also nicely decorated. The main and very annoying problem was the toilet which was very difficult to flush. It took about 8 or 9 times to flush everything (sorry about the too visual description...), can be embarrassing sometimes...
Although we were on the 12 floor, there was too much noise from the street. Closing the door was a must for the night, but even then, you could still hear everything which was going on downstairs. double glazes door could have been a good solution...
The service was good, but nothing special. It is nice to see smiling faces, so the people in the front desk should do it more often. They were very efficient though, on check-in an on check-out. The service on breakfasts was also quite good. I especially want to mention Yosi, who remembered after our first meal exactly what we both like to drink and was so kind and helpful.
The food on breakfast was very very good.
Over all it was a good experience for a hotel in Tel-Aviv.More
