“way too expensive for what you get”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

Arrival around 23h30 and 20 minutes were needed to check-in after a 8 hour journey, it's very long,as we were the only two at the desk. The reason is simple, the guy doesn't know how to make a print of your CC. he tried several time in the 4 possible directions and told us, it's because we are re-booting the system. During all this time, his (more senior) colleague was calling, once finished with his call, he came and made the print of the CC in one pass just by pressing another button......(nothing to do with the re-booting, because the minibar was still re-booting at arrival in the room) The junior was ashame (about his lie) but completed our check in.
The rooms are big, the TV-channel offer is complete (GB-FR-IT-D...) and equipped with mini-bar (poor offer, 1 beer only, 1 coke only...) with automatic invoicing (be sure you control at check-out). My bed was ok and there is one complimentary 50?cl bottle of water in the room.
Internet is free in the lobby but extremely expensive everywhere else: 70NIS/24h (14€)
As i woke up very early every morning I can't tell about the noise coming from the promenade (I think it's noisy)
The staff is friendly at the breakfast but rather rude in the bar and at the reception desk.
Conclusion: My next stay will be in januari 2013, I'll try something else and keep you posted.

Room Tip: I believe the higher the best (to avoid noise from the street) but i'm not sure as I woke up ver...

The hotel is situated on the sea front so you can see lovely views of a Mediterranean sunset. The public rooms are well appointed and there is a lovely swimming pool. Excellent buffet breakfast and evening buffets were good though they tended to decline in quality as the week advanced.
Rooms were rather old fashioned and sadly in need of an upgrade. Some service was good, but bar service was poor. (one night it took an hour for the bar to serve drinks)Wifi is now free in bar but extremely expensive in the room.

The rooms are beautiful compared to many other Tel Aviv Hotels. The staff is nice and professional too. I find there was too much air conditioning though, the entire hotel is freezing. The business lounge is not that nice and the collation selection is very small. It's a shame that at this price they don't give free wi-fi in the room! The location is great and you can walk pretty much anywhere as it is pretty central.
We are E-Dan members (loyalty program) and to our disappointment, it doesn't make a difference...I do recommend this hotel although it is a bit pricy.

Good taste, 1970s (?) decoration but hotel is not extremely well maintained (paint, fixtures etc, but who cares? I certainly don't) , courteous staff everywhere. I suggest you choose a plan that includes access to business lounge which offers computers, a printer, drinks and snacks all day. Paying internet access too expensive IMO, but free internet is offered in a large bar below reception. It works fine. Easy access to beach, two nice pools, a terrace in the sun facing Jaffa and the beach. This hotel is just perfect for people who do not demand extreme luxury.

Room Tip: Our room was on city side and even Hayarkon St. traffic was not a problem. Probably heard one or two...

Very courteous and helpful staff. The Hotel is expensive but you do get what you pay for. The concierge, Luciano, stands out as a real star and a credit to the Hotel. My girlfriend's bag got "lost" in a taxi and he single handedly tracked down the company and got it brought back. The location is amazing and Tel Aviv never disappoints :)

Room Tip: The King David Lounge is excellent if you have to catch up on some work - drinks and snacks are incl...

The hotel is well situated-staff service excellent and the food was fine. Its not cheap but main concern was that the lower lounge and dinning area had a really strong smell of mould which one would not expect in such a class of hotel. We also had an occasional odour coming through the air conditioning.

Room Tip: There is a difference in price for seaview

this is the 4th time i'm visiting dan tel aviv hotel. and each time i go there, i'm telling myself that this is the best hotel in tel aviv and one of the finest in israel, for sure!
the location- right on the beach shore, 5 minutes from everywhere in the center of TLV. the welcoming at the reception is warm and plesent. we stayed at the deluxe room with the city view. the rooms are all new. just breathtaking... the desighn is amazing! huge bed, the rooms are wide and big, lots of amenities in the bathroom. from the outdoor pool there's an amazing view over the see. the israeli breakfast is absalutlly tasty, the service is elegance. you feel there like an important business man, even if you're not.
although i'm a e-dan member club, and this is my 10th time in the dan hotels chain, i was told over the phone that i will get an upgrade for executive room, and when i asked about during the check in, i was told that i need to pay 90$ extra for the room. its not about the money, but it would be nice to get one time an upgrade, just for the good feeling and to know that the hotel knows i'm a returning guest, and apriciate it.
other than that- AMAZING hotel!

Room Tip: choose the deluxe room with the city view- they're new. dont get the standard rooms- they are...
